Anyone figured out how to block youtube ads? I use the app on my ps4 and ads are getting worse and are so annoying

      • Yep, sign up to YouTube premium in india

Pi-hole is awesome, but I've noticed it blocks subtitles on SBS on-demand on my Shield TV. Anyone else experience it?

Go into the admin console and whitelist it. You should see what it is in the logs section and also whitelist it there.

The guy's voice conducting the training is really annoying

Plus $95 price is absolutely out of touch with reality. The whole idea of RPi is all about being cheap, open source, sharing knowledge with the community. Two hours of shitty video for the price of two RPis? No thanks.

Yep, agree. I wish I could take my plus vote back now. I've gone through the first few modules already and it's a really bad course. It also seems old to me as it only talks about Pi 2. No mention of the more recent versions.

I wish I could take my plus vote back now

You can. Click the 'Votes' tab at the top of the deal and then click 'revoke' or scroll down to find your name in the list of votes and click the red negative symbol next to the green plus symbol

This is common tactic for the latest explosion of 'training videos'. Ridiculously high prices stated so they're always on amazing sale for $9.99 or $14.99… Udemy is particularly bad at this with courses for ~$200 yet always on sale for ~$15.

    Thanks
Was it only me who read "Makerdemy" as Udemy?

  • Looks awfully like a 1B in that picture.

    • Compares the 1b to the 'new' pi 2 which is used during this course…

$95 for a 2 hour raspberry pi course. lmao

  • Can a Raspberry Pi be used to hook up to a TV and download movie torrents and play on the TV?

    • +1

Yes - transmission or deluge to torrent and VLC to play the movie on the TV hooked up via HDMI or minidlna wirelessly to a smart tv.
