Zelda Version also available for the same price

Personally I would wait/spend a bit extra for the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller (which has dropped to $69 multiple times in the past).

lol, went to buy it , thinking it was an Xbox one controller lol

    • Is anyone aware of any deals on Xbox wireless controllers? Been looking for ages, but everything I've found has been RRP.

      • not much happening :( maybe sales will be at EOY

I got one of these and 3 pro controllers. these should be worth $40 $50 max. Feel cheap buttons click feels crap. Even my 3 year old son rather the plane black pro and he is a Mario fan.

  • You can get 8BiteDo sn30 pro plus for 78-80 on ebay, seen as the best controller after the official pro controller

These used to be like $50 on sale, $60 when not. Current prices are nuts, basically the same price as a pro controller

  • A number of other controllers are on sale including Hori ones. There are wired ones with turbo buttons which I have an eye on - to help the missus get them star fragments in Animal Crossing.

    • wait what does the turbo button do?

      • makes it so when you hold down a button, it switches it on and off which simulates constantly pushing and releasing it.

    • Isn't there a cap on star fragments in AC? As in you can make wishes as many times as you want but the fragments is capped to 40? Haven't been able to find confirmation on it yet.

Edit: People are claiming that it caps at 20-40.

      • Dunno, but more for when there isn't a meteor shower and they just randomly happen on a clear night - turbo would mean just leave it there for an hour or two and let it build up

I've been waiting for the official Pro controller to go on sale again but ended up getting a couple 8BitDo Wireless adapters instead. Much cheaper option for anyone who already has a PS4/XBox/WiiU Pro lying around. So for less than the cost of any official or 3rd party Switch controller, I got 2 adapters and use my PS4 controllers.

    • Mind elaborate? Had a look into the product, got confused with all the adaptors.

So i can use my xbox one controller for switch? If yes, which adapter should i buy? Ta

      • Yup, you essentially want this one
        https://www.amazon.com.au/Wireless-Bluetooth-Adapter-Nintend…

You need one adapter per controller being used at the same time. So if you want to play Mario Kart with a mate, you'll need 2 adapters so both of you can use an XBox controller each.

      • Yeah I have one of these, only problem is that it doesn’t turn on the switch. With the latest update it is possible to remap the switch buttons, which is great news as I’m either pressing A instead of B or B instead of A. Going between the Xbox and Switch is a nightmare lol.

      • thanks! another question, sorry

so once paired with switch, do i need to pair it up with xbox again every time i want to use it as xbox controller?

        • I think so, I need to do that with my PS4 controller.

          • @SwedishChef: I have one of these I found it annoying to set up every time I turn it on. You can't simply turn on console then turn on controller and it work.

Then if you want to use it on your PS4 or Xbox you need to resync.

    • Hi, do you know if this works to enable use of a Wii U pro controller on a PC/Nvidia shield as well?

      Cheers

      • According to their website it says you can connect a WiiU Pro controller to the PC, doesn't say anything about Nvidia shield. I've only used it with the Switch.

        • I bought one so will find out .. cheers

          • @Khunaus: as a followup it does work on the Sheild, with a Wii U pro controller. no issues at all.

  • I'm thinking to get this one https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Black-Wireless-Game-Controll…
What would be the different? Cheers.

    • Wouldn’t touch that ebay one, looks cheap and nasty. Also looks terrible. I’ve got the genuine black one and it’s awesome, build quality craps over joycons and on a par with Xbox controller
