  • Meh, I loved the X2 , their construction seems superb aswell, these…look flimsy? Look.

    Wouldn't know.

if the X2 werent warm-neutral'ish , iunno what you'd call em.

    "Hi-Res" headphones.

High resolution sound is an actual term, you donkey.

Like you can have HIGH RESOLUTION IMAGES
its the same concept, bigger, more packed.

      sigh.

Thought you were being sarcastic, but the links make me unsure.

Hi-res audio would define the source, not the hardware used to play it back.

you've got to be kidding yourself -

Not every piece of audio-equipment can reproduce any sound at any situation.

Would a 2001 phone be able to show you a 4k image at the same quality a 4k display would?

So why woudl you assume ANY hardware can make ANY Sound HI-RES if its not HI-RES ready or CAPABLE.

          its not rocket science.

Your 2007 walkman headphones won't be as efficient, i assure.

          Allow me to expand -

if these headphones play from 6hz to 40k hz , and trash ones do from 4000 to 10000 , you can't honestly expect to reproduce the same frequencies , its literally impossible.
          Its like imagine a 200ppi 5inch display, an d a 800ppi 5inch display

OBVIOUSLy one would be HIGHER RESOLUTION???? ._.

        • You have no idea what you are talking about. One of the specifications for High Res Audio is: headphone performance 40kHz or above. Yes, it defines hardware.

      • Diji1 is a kundi 💩

  • love my X2s - sound amazing to my lofidelity old ears and comfy too

  • I always preferred the "warmer" sound of the X1 and X2; having owned both I found they breathed life into whatever source and media you were throwing at them even in the absence of headphone amps/DACs and finely-tuned equalizer settings.

There's no way in hell that faux-leather cup and headband material on the L2BO is going to be as comfortable as the plush memory foam on the X1/X2, not mention it'll look like a greasy mess after a few hours of use. The headband itself looks to be manually-adjustable, which is also a step down from the self-adjusting hammock on the X1/X2. I don't think there are many headphones out there that are as comfortable as the X1/X2, period.

Also, I personally don't like in-line controls/buttons on any headphones, though I suppose given the inclusion of a mic this is really intended for use with smartphones and/or Android-based MP3 players.
