Amazon doesn't give rewards right now. :(

    • +23

Honestly always used Amazon for random foods delivered via Prime with these $2 off $5 so I'm not really sure what to get, if anything at all.

      • +2

Stop giving me bad ideas.. knowing I can randomly open up Amazon and buy something like cookies for $3 shipped is going to slowly leave a dint in my balance :(

        • +4

          Bigger dint in your waist…

    • +1

Amazon is offering 0.0% cashback but you can still click through to Amazon via Shopback. Doesn’t it mean that you would still get $2 if you buy something worth $5 or more?

      Can you please confirm, OP?

      • +3

T&Cs say no, unfortunately. I just redeemed the code in the app and it specifically states stores that are temporarily unavailable :(

  • +13

  • eBay 3%?

  • +13

Time to get a thing that I don't need.

  • +1

Of course this happens after I purchased from Crumpler.

  • +7

Times like this - I miss Amazon and HeyYou cashback

  • So you get $2 back, if you spend $5 today. But you can't spend it at Woolies or Amazon.

On top of that you don't get your $2 back until 30 June?

Furthermore ”You must have earned at least $10 confirmed cashback from general purchases to withdraw the $2 Cashback Bonus."

I'm struggling to understand how this has got any votes, let alone over 70?!

    • +4

Yeah they used to be good. Now with Amazon electronics and ebay basically shut off, it's just small stuff left over. Shopback must be struggling to get people to join and these deals hardly benefit anyone.

      • +2

ebay isn't shut off? It's been really low cashback for ages?

        • Will you get cashback if spending over $5 on Ebay today???

          • +1

            @ozhunter68: Shopback say so?

            1% of $5 = 5c
            3% of $5 = 15c

            • @Koffee: It says upto 3% though.. I've not yet looked into which product categories qualify for 3%.

        • -1

          That's why I said basically :)

    • +6

Mate there’s plenty of stores you can get it from…

      • +3

        choosing beggars

    • +3

Because it's literally free money if you were going to purchase something anyway?

The $10 account spend / wait time have always been around.

    • -1

On top of that you don't get your $2 back until 30 June?

You don't get $2 until 30 June. It shows as Pending by 30 June.

    • Almost 400

  • -1

    No Amazon!??

    • +4

Amazon bailed on cashback months ago. Can't blame these guys.

      • +4

        A few weeks ago actually

      • So Amazon not coming back?

      • Well, not blaming anyone else. Blaming Amazon to make the cashback scheme whole lot less effective as it was easier to use these offers on Amazon to purchase some day to day use products.

      • it's a shame - i was getting a bit from amazon from random ass purchases.

  • +5

Thanks. Just in time to re order something I bought on Ali with the last offer code that ended up being return to sender when it was supposed to leave China…

    • If order ends up being cancelled, ShopBack cashback is cancelled as well, though?

      • Correct

    • I did too. 5% cashback and $2 on a $6 item is ok.

    • Orders on Aliexpress are obviously taking longer than usual to get here. I ordered a phone cover on 28/03/20 and it still hasn't turned up.

      • +1

Mate, I got an order since Jan 30 that's still in transit!

  • +2

Hi OP, "To qualify for this offer, you must first enter the code OZBSB2 (case sensitive) in the 'Rewards' section of the ShopBack app prior to purchase."
I don't see "Rewards" in the app or website. Could you please indicate where I must put the code in? Thanks.

    • +9

Shopback app - click on profile - then rewards

  • +1

Any 1 cent item on eBay? The product I'm after is $4.99.

  • +6

Gave up on surveywall for the free entry into the comp.
Did a few when it first appeared for a whopping 3c cash Back.
Today I'm not "qualifying" for any surveys but it takes about ten to fifteen questions to find that out.

    • +4

For sure. It's bad. So many questions for a few cents, or nothing at all. The surveys are terrible too.
First question was what industry do you work? - answer banking/finance. The next question was something like - which part of the Epidemiology department of your hospital do you work in? Yep.

    • +4

Yes 3c WOW what Can I Buy ????

      SurveyWall is a big riot.

    • I've found a lot of "earn money from survey" companies are like this.

"Screen you" for a lot of personal data then declare you inelliable.

      • Yes it depends but some you waste time for nothing

  • +3

Woohoo! 3% cashback on P&O Cruises!

    • +1

If only you could go on a cruise.

  • +4

Can anyone explain to me why $2 is a bargain worth up voting? Especially 200+ up votes.

    • -7

Because it’s a mix of bots & people ho forgot Amazon is no longer available.

But it is $2 back on $5+. There’s a fe things on ebay (like cr2032 batteries) I can buy

    • -6

Like normal at this place people don't understand privacy concerns of apps . $2 is a monster carrot to some . Suggest you google it if you don't .
BTW I'm offer by some companies $500 to add their app and I do on blank devices lol .

    • +10

Look at Mr. Moneybags over here.

      • +1

I see many aussies spending plenty of time to save a dollar or two when it would be much easier if they had bought one less coffee, one less beer, maybe buy a slightly cheaper massive TV, or not go the highest model car and then they claim the cost of living conditions and are the ones with no rainy day fund. I'm not money bags i'd just rather spend my time more efficiently.

        • +1

I agree with you. I often think about if we focused all this time and energy we spend on saving money instead towards making money, I’m sure we would be come out ahead in the long run.
Same thing with time. If we had the mentality of saving time > saving money we would all be much better off.

    • +2

It's essentially 40% off if you're buying some at $5. It's even better if someone needs to buy something today.

    • +3

These deals have always been very popular, and for good reason. $2 Cash back on $5 spend is great especially if you buy something that is already cheap, which was a lot easier until recently when Amazon dropped their cashback.

  • +4

    Use AliExpress or bang goods

If struggling to find a cheap item

Shame it used to have menu log

    • +2

Is it just me but it feels parcels from china are taking much longer than 4-8 weeks?

      • +1

Probably because there are less aeroplanes in the air.

      • +1

Everything from China is taking longer at the moment due to the Air freight demand.

Then what would usually cost someone $6/kg for items is now at $12/kg. Then someone comes along and offers them $15/kg so they put yours on hold and ship theirs instead…

      • got an order from Jan 30 that's still in limbo

  • -7

No deal for me. Wont ever be using this App.

    • +2

      Why?

      • +8

        Coz they rather use tiktok.

    • Just delete it after.

  • Will this work if spending $5+ on Ebay today???

    • +1

Following redemption of the code, you must make a purchase of $5 or more (includes GST, excludes delivery & other fees) at any store in one transaction (excluding Woolworths Gift Cards) between 12am to 11.59pm AEST on 20th April 2020 (inclusive). Purchases made prior to redeeming the code do not qualify for the bonus.

      It only works today.

      • +1

Thanks, so answer is yes then lol.

  • Struggling what to get..

    • +3

6 pack of beer at Dan's.

  • +1

    Chemist warehouse unavailable…. https://www.shopback.com.au/chemist-warehouse

    • Does it mean purchase at Chemist Warehouse won't qualify for $2 bonus cashback?

      • +1

Excludes purchases from Woolworths Gift Cards, and stores that are 'Temporarily Unavailable"/offering 0% cashback.

You can however purchase from Chemist Warehouse on eBay and get cashback with eBay's rates.

        • +1

          Thanks. Didn't think of that.

        • Just realised chemist warehouse at Ebay Australia doesn't offer click & collect. Or did I do anything wrong? I am using shopback app.

          • +1

@apple0604: Nothing wrong on your end, you are right that they don't offer click & collect through eBay ☹️

  • thanks shopback :) What are the other deals coming this week?

  • +1

Does this $2 shopback occur in addition to the normal shopback of the purchase?

  • The app doesn't let me load Amazon ?

  • Where do I find the rewards section?

    • Second option once you select the account icon on the app (the icon to the left of the bell at the top right of the screen).

      • I'm on my PC and can't find it. I'll go get my phone and try the app.

        • +4
          • To qualify for this offer, you must first enter the code OZBSB2 (case sensitive) in the 'Rewards' section of the ShopBack app prior to purchase.
  • +1

So is this only eligible through the app?

Title says so but one of the T&Cs says "Your purchase can be made through the ShopBack app, ShopBack desktop/mobile site or ShopBack Button browser extension."

    • +1

Only the code has to be activated through the app. Once activated, can use any device to make the purchase (clicking through Shopback, of course)

    • If it's like previous orders, you need to activate the reward code though the app. Could then buy through whatever, but I'm using the app just to be sure

  • +3

Did anyone find any useful product worth $5? Don't want to buy something that I wouldn't have bought otherwise.

  • +1

I couldn't find anything I wanted in ebay. So I purchased a 50% of digital xbox game @$5.23 for my son in the end. https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/p/draw-a-stickman-epic-2-xbo…

At least I got it for $5.23-5.5%-$2 = $3.06 after shopback.

  • Got me a braided 2m USB-C cable locally for $5.29 from eBay. I was after a long lead for my car. Thanks!

  • +5

The amount of times I've had a poor experience with SB is too high to even count anymore.

I just recently had an instance where I made an order with Adidas, the order tracked but it came up as $0 then I contacted customer service who were just useless.

    • +2

      Hey okbianca,

We do see your name in our ticketing system and have found the relevant query you sent through. We can see you made 4 transactions, all tracked fine but your 4th transaction which came in as $0.

One fundamental thing as stipulated in the terms and conditions is you need to return to ShopBack to click through the store again each time you make a new transaction.

There was no new click for this 4th transaction - this transaction was attributed to the same click you made for the 3rd transaction. And this click was also your very last click from ShopBack to adidas (no new clicks were recorded to adidas since your 3rd transaction).

Return to ShopBack and clickthrough to adidas every time you are making a new transaction

Because of this, adidas won't pay us the commissions for this transaction and as such we can't pay out the cashback for this transaction.

      • +5

That’s the part where CS didn’t listen… I did click through. I’m not new to using SB. I did a new click for every other transaction, including the 4th transaction.

  • +7

Not very happy with Shopback. Used to track completely fine, but I'm getting erratic results. Adidas, The good guys, and bonds didn't track, and CS basically told me to do the exact same steps I've already done. Aliexpress orders, oddly track completely fine.

    • -1

      @gotyourback
      Can you explain my orders?
I don't have adblock installed on Chrome
I complete my transaction in one go from an empty cart
I can see the green S on the extension
For Adidas, I did use a coupon code (FAM30) , but for the good guys, I know I did not.

  • +1

Agree with comments above. Shopback used to work for me but lately I've had a slew of bad tracking and mediocre support, unfortunately. But it might've just been a rough period.

  • If we use coupon shown on eBay product page, shopback 3% will be rejected. But will I still get $2 bonus?

    • +1

Bonus would get rejected in this case

      • Bonuses associated with rejected cashback transactions will also be voided.
