  • Nespresso compatible?

    • Not the Aldi ones

Bummer, most pods sold these days are nespresso compatible so if you're right they can't be used with this machine.

I would suggest looking at the Philips L’Or (the $75 one without the frother mentioned in the comments, but the one posted as the deal would work if you wanted a matching setup):

The regular L’Or pods and Nespresso pods are compatible with each other, so you can use the standard size Nespresso pods. Plus you can use the L’Or double shot pods.

We have the Aldi Expressi (pods are cheaper), but if we had to replace it, I’d probably consider grabbing the L’Or instead. FWIW, wife, who is the one who drinks pods in our house, prefers Expressi to Nespresso, but likes L’Or pods the best out of all of them (I have a Nespresso attachment to one of my espresso makers, so we use L’Or pods when we travel).

I just checked kmart and they have one that is compatible $59 https://www.kmart.com.au/product/capsule-coffee-machine/2641…

  • Does anyone know the minimum milk level on the 500ml milk frother? Is it the same as the minimum level on the 250ml size, or is it double?

The min on the 250ml looks to be about a quarter of the max, so I would guess it's somewhere around 70ml (very rough eyeball guess).

  • Don't know, but if you want full on froth, which is very frothy, then you can only go to low level. But if you are happy with a lighter froth, more like a latè, then you can fill the milk a lot higher. Sorry not scientific, just from user experience.
