    Thanks for making the list OP. I think I enrolled into 20 of them. Some of them were not showing discounts as I was adding them to cart. But I got them free by clicking Enroll Now instead.

    Has anyone here actually even started ANY Udemy course ay all? Are they actually useful/helpful at all?
    I keep collecting them like there is no tomorrow, but Im starting to think that i will most likely never going to participate in them and its kind of pointless to keep collecting them only because they are free and i might get to them one day

      Now we're all pretty much housebound, I've started one course, and another on EDx. But it's been years of collecting courses up until now.

      Edit: still haven't read any Kindle books though

      I’ve checked out about a dozen courses ranging from Microsoft Office stuff to learning to play an instrument or a language and design…and the quality varies a lot.

      Some presenters are engaging and have given some thought to teaching. Others don’t seem to have a clue. It’s as if they just turned on their webcam and created a course. And some provide feedback and comments.

      So, like pretty much all forms of teaching and teachers there’s good and bad.

      The average quality of courses is poor.
      Coursera and EDx are much better.

      In fact even YouTube is usually decent.

      Nevertheless these will make a fine addition to my collection, I have close to 1000 courses in udemy now

      I started one (Brad Newton's Adobe Premiere course, forget the name) and it was pretty good. I started from no knowledge about Premiere at all.

      I hear there's a lot of crap on it though.

      Collecting courses just to have them is kinda silly but I wanted to work out how to use Premiere.

    My biggest gripe with these courses online is, they are not recognised as tafe. I mean if these free courses stated each country must provide a usi type number that is approved by the government that you have actual comprehension, then you can take that to places for training or experience.

    A USI - Unique Student Identifier is a reference number that creates an online record of your training and qualifications attained in Australia.

    If you are a new or continuing student undertaking nationally recognised training, you need a USI in order to receive your qualification or statement of attainment.

    Years ago I thought these courses were great, but it's full of graduate university students wanting to boast their portfolio (it's no different then getting likes on some other platform) I always always favour free courses but these I can't see are viable unless they are realistic in the long run.
