  • Roccat gaming mouse is my favorite. I can't seem to use too much other brands before getting tired and sore hand.

G502 was released in 2014 and is still fine, nothing wrong with an old mouse if you don't want fancy rgb etc

Get the optical one for $4 for much better sensor.

That being said, outdated mouse. You can get a Logitech G102 for $25 which is just as good (better if you like the shape) or spend $20-30 more getting the Viper Mini or Model O/- which are superior in every way in terms of cable, weight, sensor, RGB, clicks.

This is coming from someone has has owns 2 Kone Pure mice and used them for years.

That being said, this is still a very good mouse in terms of shape and build quality.

  • Silly question but is this for lefties?

    • Don't think so, thumb buttons are on the left of the mouse suggesting it would be used by the thumb on your right hand.

If anyone purchases this and has trouble getting the Roccat software to work - try downloading the software for "Kone Pure Optical Black Edition" instead (and doing the firmware update). Went through a lot of pain to figure that out.

Look up roccat module install. I had to do this to get my one to work properly. I only knew about it because I saw something mentioned Ina review

  • Thank you op.
Can anyone recommend some budget mechanical keyboards and gaming headsets for PC.
Im new to the PC gaming life 😋

Go the JB hifi or your local computer store and ask to try out the mechanical keys. Some people prefer certain types of keys and my preferences can be very different to yours. For budget tho, I just bought my wife the Dominator 3 KB + Mouse combo, it's pretty fantastic and always rated highly for budget builds. Not a full mechanical keyboard tho but response feels solid, it's a VERY well built package and still has that RGB wank if you're into that sorta thing. And $59 is hard to beat.

Headsets, depends on your budget and expectations. Always been a fan of Astro but can get costly. I'm currently using a Arctic 7 wireless and it's been superb. Wireless is fantastic if you don't mind keeping it charged, sux when you get the low battery mid session but eliminating the cable is worth!

      • Thankyou

  • I bought an rgb kogan one for like $25-30 work purposes and its feel is comparable to my zowie and steelseries mice lol. Havent tested in on actual gaming yet though…but very smooth and comfortable otherwise.
