  • I feel really sorry for people who believe in those kind of health magic remedial!

You can buy a liter of extra virgin oil cost around $15 and you don't let merchants foolish you!

    • You can buy a liter of extra virgin oil cost around $15

      i get 4 litres for under $30

      • There's another issue there regarding the quality of the oil, I read somewhere that Government is looking at changing labeling system to make it more clear to consumers.

Not to say that your 4litre isn't a deal, but I think you got my point. :)

Your average Ozbargainer (or below average, as here) is all about quantity, quality is never considered.

        • wrong edit

      • this is what i usually get…

our local deli imports a large variety from the Mediterranean…

i find the ones from Crete taste best

        • Pity they don't sell online, but the price is good!
Anyway, do your deli sell leaves?

Try some Australian olive oil next time.

Choice did a test of various olive oils and the Australian oils came out to be the best
          http://www.choice.com.au/reviews-and-tests/food-and-health/f…

Australian oil should also be fresher because it does not need to travel around the world to get to you.

I used to buy imported oil until i decided to try some Australian oil.

      • @Mic Cullen Ozbargainers are here for a reason, they are smarter than most of people getting ripped off day by day by advertising.

That is sometimes true, but if you watch the ones who post incessantly (and usually first (or close to it) in any thread), they couldn't tell a Ferrari from a Hyundai, they can only tell you about the dollar cost.

        • That's up to you to find out more.
By the way, you should know that when a merchant does advertising = to no enough customers.
But I guess you know that.

this isn't olive oil you use for cooking!

  • Are the capsules standard measure for cooking or do I have to break them open first?

  • +2

Guys, I think you're mixing them up with olive oil for cooking.
This is a health supplement. :)

    • i think they knew, just trying to make fun of oil stuffs

      • I was trying to be nice. :P

    • Olive oil IT IS a health supplement and you can use on your hands and it's cheaper lol

  • Ends up in the same place pal..one variety goes in in a capsule and the other goes in naked.same ingredient

  • whats good about this supplement? i mean, purposes…

Olive oil just does the same thing.

My sister swears it helps her get over cold and flu.

      • Good on her, at least she doesn't use painkillers.

    • It vastly speeds up metabolism for the fatty boombas.

    • Same as what gamgo5 mentioned. I take it daily, its really good.

Normal price at Chemist Warehouse for Olive Leaf Extract 500ml is $15.99.
It's $2.91 per bottle cheaper and you don't have to buy 2 bottles
    http://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/product.asp?id=57240&pnam…
    No deal.

    • Check the QUALITY (potency) there.

      • The quality (potency) is identical:

From Chemist Warehouse: "Each 5ml Contains: Olea europea (Olive) extract equiv. dry leaf approx. 5g (stand equiv. Oleuropein 22mg"
From Comvita: "Each 5mL is equivalent to 5g (5,000mg) of fresh leaf.", "Equivalent to Oleuropein 4.4mg/mL" (which comes to 22mg/500ml)

When some people say one brand is better then the other it's just pure speculation.

Is Blackmores better then Herron or Cenovis or Natures Way or XYZ? As long as the ingredients and potency are the same - it doesn't matter what brand it is.

    • But you're comparing against a different brand.

      • Ozbargain syndrome strikes again.

    • This is a great deal, i usually buy the 5 litre container to get this sort of saving. The product this deal is for is a quality product unlike the chemist warehouse product.
