There's no link to activate just the banner with a link to the PDF, so sounds like it's auto-activated.
Sounds like a great deal but I would imagine targeted after reading the T&Cs at the base of the offer it says "offer is unique to your card".
I tend to spend far more than $1000 per statement period so unsurprisingly this has not appeared in my account that I can see :(

There was a similar offer in Feb and only required $500 spend per month and goes for 3 months. Amex is trying hard to get people to spend lately.

All I got w the extra points on supermarket spend. 20K points for basically free.
When I cancelled my Explorer card they didn't do anything to try to retain me.

Ditto. Got it on my companion platinum reserve card that I essentially don’t use. Welcome bonus although will need to make sure I channel some spend that way and use the card for a bit.
Got targeted as well, didnt specify what classified as spending but i spent 1k per month anyway, lets see what happen
None :( not this offer or the other Amex Spend $100 or more get $15 back, despite me spending $2000 per month on my djs Platinum card and supplementary. I’m always told that the offers are through their marketing team

Nope. I read the T&Cs as though they all come in bulk at the end?
Please allow 8 to 10 weeks after the promotional period for Bonus points to be credited to your account.
I figured that was similar to all their usual offers (spend $x at wherever and get $y back or spend $x and get z points) that all have that language in the T&C but in reality drop 2 days after the relevant spend happens.
