If anyone from Starbuy is watching, please put this one on your next 24 hour special! https://www.starbuy.com.au/seiko-presage-automatic-stainless…

    • +1. I am in for that model too at a good price

      SOLD OUT

      • wow that is super weird…its not exactly a bargain at $545 or whatever it was.

        • +1

That price becomes a bargain if you increase the RRP. Myer has it for $825 & after discount it comes down to $618 (they treat customers like idiots & wonder why their profits have shrunk).

          • @dan0909: Ah im hoping therefore that it's the next starbuy 24 hour deal and they've just made it "sold out" so they can say "$349, RRP $829!" tomorrow. i'll forgive the blatantly misleading and deceptive conduct if it means i can get the watch :D

Have the very similar looking SRPB43J (with same 4R35 movement) from an OzB deal a few years ago. Mine has the patent (very shiny) black leather band, that am still torn on whether to like or not.

Both mine and this, have an exquisite, stylish watch face that can be easily dressed up or down.

Not the original Seiko Cocktail Time (SARB065) that has a superior movement (6R15 vs 4R35), but still ticks all the right boxes for me in the "Presage" form at a much more reasonable price.

Like other older SARB line Seikos (e.g. Alpinist SARB017), good luck with finding an original SARB065 anyway, as even second-hand resale prices have markedly inflated since they stopped making those models.

The watch in this post comes with an original Seiko stainless steel band, worth a bit just on its own, plus gives you more options (keep SS band on or switch to leather band of your choice).

Drop down another $50-100 on this price and it would be pretty hard for any Seiko automatic watch fan to walk past without buying :-).

Ditto - mine was on a Qantas Flybuy deal mid last year. Photos don't do the face justice, it can be anything from white to blue depending on the light. I kept the band, I think it suits the formal nature of the watch and would be preferable to a steel band.

I have the same watch. Must admit I swapped out the glossy black straight away for a brown leather band, been there ever since. The money for a dial like this is amazing value though, punches well above its weight.

Received it today, WOW what a stunning piece it is. Looks incredible especially in the full sun, well worth the money and great fast service from Star Buy.

      Enjoy!

Still makes me smile at the subtle colour and pattern nuances of the dial every time I put mine on or look at it under different lighting conditions :-).
