Greetings everyone, sent over a message to TA to ask what the Apple promo is (as advised here and he told me 7% from 10am. Ends midnight tonight, then drops to 6% for tomorrow. After that, it goes back down to 1.5%, so be quick!

Seems like an awesome increase from CR for the Apple & Apple Education Stores :)

Haven't seen an increase like this in quite a while, and an awesome addition with the inclusion of the education store for further discounts.

      I'm not sure, but if it helps, the invoice does not show the fact that you bought from EDU.

    Does anyone know if the Twelve South Bookarc would fit the new 16" Macbook Pro?
    The 16" model isn't listed in the compatibility section for the Bookarc.

    Surely it isn't that different to the 15"?

    Has anyone had experience? Can't seem to find much online.

          They have separate listings for the arcs, so it doesn't look like the default one will fit the 16". At least you can buy just the arc to swap it out.

            @dreamykitten: Ah thanks for that, that's the first time I have seen the 16" model directly referenced.

            On the Apple website it says it suits "MacBook Pro (2015 and later)", wonder if that means it will come with the right insert. Surely Apple would sell the correct inserts for its products.

              @JoKing: Seeing as Apple Stores are reopening today, I'd give them a call. Or use their live chat function online. Also try messaging Twelve South on Facebook, I have had instances where companies responded quickly on Facebook but took days to reply my email.

      For anyone following my dream, I just reached out to Apple Online support and they confirmed it won't fit the new 16" MBP models. They don't have the right insert (F-insert) and have no idea when they will. So I may look at the Satechi Vertical Laptop Stand.

      Just an FYI for anyone who was interested.

    Tempted in purchasing the new iPad Magic Keyboard, seems to be $499 retail, or $469 edu price @ Apple.
    Just not sure if I should go this way, or the new Brydge Pro + with trackpad which is $349 (if only they would throw on a sale lol)

      1st party support and cool floating design is worth it. That being said, I have a Brydge non touchpad and my iPad is generally like a laptop. Very good build quality and full ‘lapability’ when I need it to be.

      comparing those two for me at least, it's a no brainer for the MKB. I am using one now bought at the launch and dare I say, I type faster on it (11 inch model as well) than my MacBook Pro. I will admit thought that I was absolutely SHOCKED at how heavy it was when it was delivered (I usually use iPad Pro naked without any cover as I'm very sensitive to weight increase) but adjusted quickly. The typing feel on this thing is absolutely second to none and very quite. When you think about the physics you quickly understand the reason behind the design and the reduced angle of recline as well (be aware this does NOT fully rotate back like the other folios). Trackpad is ok, I'm still so used to touching the screen that I have to put my mind to use it actually :)

        Can't believe people are actually paying $500 for a keyboard which is heavier than the Ipad itself. Just shows how much better thought out for typing the Surface line is with the kickstand and keyboard at less than half the price and weight. I own an Ipad Pro but the Surface is so much better for typing and work. Ideal device would by Surface with the screen and battery life of the Ipad Pro

    To those that dont mind spending a bit of extra money i would suggest looking into the MacBook Pro 16" as they are discounted more than the 13" counter parts. With this you could easily pick up a 16" only for a few hundred more than the 13" Pro with similar specs (without the dedicated graphics). I got a 16" earlier this year and i am in love with it!!

    I've never ordered from apple online but is this normal? I kinda expected stock to be sent from an apple store in aus.
