    Forget the fact that you had a DDOS attack, I don't even think I heard of your site until today.

    So essentially you are another dealextreme/focalprice/etc…

    Can you give us an example of a good product which when combined with your 10% off coupon is cheaper than the above sites? Otherwise it's just advertising.

        Hi Lily, I don't doubt you had a DDoS.

        Just saying that if promoting here then it's a good idea to give examples of good products that are cheaper than other Chinese B2Cs as most users of this site know DX and FP well and will give you negative votes if cheaper elsewhere - this is ozbargain after all! Good luck.

          gotbean gave one below. I just checked something I purchased from DX and it was cheaper at DX.

          I didn't put that here as an example because to be honest for each one that is found cheaper at BG, there will probably be another product cheaper elsewhere - that will always be the case with these places that sell thousands of items.

          This is a good promo as it is a blanket 10% off, so if you find anything you like just do a quick price check at the usual DX/FP/ML sites - somethings will be cheaper, others won't be.

          BTW, just realised I have ordered freebies off these guys before and didn't even realise lol. thx.

      Why? They've posted a few freebies, posted some deals which weren't received well, but overall only post < 1 deal per week - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/user/47361/nodes.

      10% off codes come regularly for a lot of other websites and this does not promise to be the cheapest you can find anywhere on the 'tubes, so I don't see the SPAM here.

      Yes, you found it that this coupon was made firstly when we thought that the DDoS attack was fixed by us and the next day or after several hours when we published it our site was hacked again. After we finally solved the attack the day before yesterday, we thought that many of you didn't use that coupon successfully because of the attack so we changed the expire time to September 30th.     Budget Gadgets - Very annoying how the price for 10+ is the default view, so everything seems cheaper than what they actually cost for the average person.

      Agreed. Pretty deceptive that you have to click on any item a few times before you can actually locate the actual price. If the item is $10, don't advertise it as $9, then have in small print a few clicks away that it's only $9 if you buy 10 or them & the real price for the item is actually $10. Websites that advertise like that wont get much repeat business IMO.

    You probably want to change:

    Budgetgadgets site was hacked

    and

    when BG was hacked by

    …from "hacked" to "attacked". Hacked makes it sound like hackers broke into the site and stole your customer's credit card numbers, addresses etc. which is not what (it sounds like) happened.

    I tried to order from BudgetGadgets last night using the 10% discount code . Paypal immediately rejected the order and has now made me totally re-authenticate my account. New password, security questions and C/C check !

    Anyone else ever had this happen ? I wonder if it is directed at BudgetGadgets or just a general thing that PayPal does ever so often. Could it because of BudgetGadgets recent denial of service attack. Maybe their site has been hacked and PayPal are being cautious.
