Was $429 in the Good Guys, now this is the best price I can find. 32G with Docking is $669, I don't know if the price for that is good or not.

I did a bit study on this. Amazon is selling at US$394 now and P/H to Australia is US$13.94, which is US$407.94 = AU$418.30.

Further more, I rang Asus to check the warranty, they said this one only has local warranty, which means if I buy from Amazon, I can only get the North American warranty.

So by paying $20 more you can get local warranty and don't need to wait 8-16 working days for the delivery.

          You can have it delivered for around 15 bucks I think.

        Yes, it costs $15.61 to get it delivered. But they charge 3% for payment which work out $428 in total… I will rather buy it locally for the post sale services.

        But the question is shall I buy it now or shall I wait till I sold the Acer A500?

    But I have to get rid of my Acer A500 first, got from HN for $389. I have to say the performance sucks… I read some posts online, it seems the transformer's performance is much better. Any ideas?

      spec for spec for performance, the acer shouldn't be too far off a transformer. Maybe there's tweaks and stuff you can do to unleash it's full potential? I'd do some googling before offloading the acer.

      Beware of IPS screen, it may suffer from some backlight leakage and also the left speaker issue. It depends on your luck.
