    You're pretty much locked in to this software if you begin using it though as it would be a hassle to transfer your records after 3 months to another system. Good to just test out though.

        The easiest way to switch is to switch at the end of financial year or at the end of a month. This will reduce the cost of switching and hopefully alleviate any worries associated with being "locked in". So if it isn't working you can change it.

        With any tool, you're never going to get the cost of switching to $0.

      My translation:
      - It is a web site
      - You can put your accounting records on it
      - It probably has some degree of functions specific to account that make it better than excel
      - It probably has some degree of completely painful inport/export function for the sake of lock in

    rubbish deal.

    by the time you transfer over, the 3 month offer expires. 3 months is nothing for accounting purposes.

      so they're giving you a 90 day free look instead of their usual 30 days - i can't see that's worth a neg.

      also, 3 months to transfer your data over - you must be slow or doing it wrong.

    I have aborted myob and use excel instead as they charge me full fee to just update the tax table. Do not be trap into these accounting software.

      What? Excel doesn't do a P+L, cash flow statement, balance sheet, BAS feed. There's a reason so many firms use accounting software over MS Excel.

    Been using liveaccounts for about 3 months now. Awesome accounting program and the live bank feeds are great.

    Considering these guys are getting full access to your company financials, this is a great deal for them.

    But three months just isn't long enough to process the data. The heavy lifting of my business reporting occurs at EOFY and EOCY, so this trial wouldn't let me see what the software is like at my most difficult times.

    It's very sly of them to expire the free offer right at the end of the calendar year.

    Here's a better deal. Go to Officeworks, and buy Account Right Standard for $369. Many, many, many more features and, amortised over fourteen months, the price will be the same.

      But no live bank feeds. Recon is automatic. I would recommend Liveaccounts for small business from my experience.

      It's still a discount over a software service, despite the purpose might be just getting you to try the service. Similar to $9 first year Dream Host Web hosting got example.

        Understand, in my opinion they take advantage that this software is not worldwide used but I guess competition will make them change the policy restriction and so hopefully they'll give more juice to users :)
