    I see the Vivoactive 3 is $229 on Amazon at the moment. They’re a bit long in the tooth now, but a solid watch for that money.

      I wouldn’t as it doesn’t support multi sport recording. That’s the FR945 or Fenix series.

    both watches have the same dimensions and battery life.

    what this watch has over the 245 music:
    - garmin pay
    - barometric altimeter (accurately capture change in altitude)

    what the 245 has over the 645:
    - pulse oximeter (blood oxygen level)
    - body battery level (measure body energy reserve)

    you can decide based on what you'd prefer

      This watch was released in early 2018 while the 245 was in late 2019. The 245 contains the 3rd gen optical HR monitor.

  Instinct or 645 non music?
  Bought Instinct 2 days ago from Garmin, $320. This is $399. Also bought, lol. None shipped yet. Which has more navigation features, like upload tracks, waypoints, follow track, is DWMAP a thing?

    After a week of using both I kept Instinct. Much better display visibility, more proper for outdoors stuff, cheaper. Ultimate goal - topo maps, is not in 645, I'll wait few years before upgrading from Instinct.

  Why is this model specifically named "Music"? I thought the music control was a built-in function by default. Please forgive my ignorance as I haven't laid my eyes on any forerunner models since I got 935.

    There's a Music and non-Music version, with the non-Music version being slightly cheaper.
