Looks like it might be old stock as it appears to be different to the Nest Mini. Shows up as available in store and was fine to get delivered.

Most reviews say nest mini is much better. I only have nest and rather get a 2nd hand nest for $25-$40 from Gumtree than this.

I've been trying to trade it with my other google devices.
My 4yo son can get our home hub and numerous next/home minis to show him pictures of animals, YouTube and Netflix videos, play songs on Google Play Music & cheekily turn off lights when I am working in the home office…
So you're heavily stuck in a Google ecosystem. The youtube interface on the hub is more limited than the phone basically, you can't check videos of subscribers/notifications or video playlist. You can't play netflix unless you cast on your phone. You can't stream anything unless you're casting from your phone and only if the streaming app can cast to your hub as my primevideo can only cast to chromecasts devices and not android devices with chromecast capabilities. You can't browse the web or change dns settings. I can't even check gmails on the hub.
End of the day, if you don't have your phone with you, it's a glorified alarm clock with a display. It would be cheaper to buy an android tablet and put it on a stand as I could do all of the above. Tell me that you don't want any of these capabilities.
Nest Mini is the newer version of Home Mini. It has a better speaker and can be put up on the wall - but apart from those, they are basically the same.
Also has ultrasonic sensor to light up the volume controls when you reach your hand towards it while music is playing.
The sound quality is noticeably better but if you're not playing music on it, difference between them not that much.
