I bought this in a previous deal, all my devices (2x samsung phones, ms surface & LG gram were charging bit too slowly. Not sure it was broken or no QC or PD or something or too weak, but I ended up returning it :)

    • Thanks for the report. I will retract my updoot.

    • Did you try different cables?

      • come on… :(

        at least 5 of them…

        • Either way, I'll give it a shot. Will let you know my findings.

@albert0pia: I like the eu plugs ( I travel a lot) but I suspect it is about the compatibility of the QC/PD w your devices. GOOD LUCK :)

    • Specs on Cygnett site make no mention of QC.

    • To be fair, there's no mention of QC anywhere.. Just says "faster charging" which most companies claim these but means nothing. Also the PD is at 57w if Usbc is the only thing plugged in. She'd drop the moment it registers anything in the Usb port

      • That's not in the spec. PD listed as 20V/2.25A max.

    • It specifies PD so with the right cable I'd be expecting 45W at 12 1or 20V. The type A port would be limited to 5V max and 2.4A max.
Perhaps yours was broken? Either that or the claim of "pd" - which suggests adherence to the pd1.0/2.0/3.0 spec is false and this should be avoided.

  • Woops, different model it seems.

  • I got one a few weeks ago. Work well. Charges note 9 fast. Charges my xps 13

My preference is for the chargers with 'figure 8' cable. Simply take the right cable, no wall wart to make connecting harder and the extra length of the cable is helpful.

    • +1

the extra length of the cable is helpful…exactly, often in a caffee where they have 1 or 2 sockets but like 2 tables away… :)))

    • Agreed - plus the chargers with figure 8 inputs usually have higher outputs. This charger has a smaller footprint though - wish they made a 65W version in the same size…

      • yep, most people will be better of, however I often travel to multiple countries so carrying 3 different 1m long figure 8 cables in my hand luggage would be taking up valuable space (weight) ;) haha…

anyway, see here for alternatives from previous post:

Got one last time, it would intermittently charge and not charge my surface book. Wouldn't recommend.

The 45W output is definitely not enough for the Surface Book - what cable are you using as well?

      • +1

Cable is a possible culprit, but intermittent is not a good sign. Ive used an 18W charger, and it works on he book, however slowly.

Got one from the qantas deal last year. Love it and would get another, but GaN chargers have since been released, which I think are now a better buy (even if more expensive)

Thats a lot of buck for a small bang

  • I use one of these daily and find it quite good. Travel adapters are a bonus. I think this is good price for a reputable brand.

I've occasionally had trouble where it won't charge my laptop (Lenovo) after I've unplugged it from the laptop and put it back in shortly after.
The fix for this is to remove it from the wall and plug the cable into something else like a phone. Basically to power cycle it I suppose. Could potentially help with the issues mentioned above.

I’ve had one for a while (must be 18mo at least) and have used it fast charge iPhone / cygnet 20000PD powerbank / surface book 2 / surface go / switch.

Never had any issues with slow charging
    Worldwide power adapters are useful

Obviously taper your expectations - it’s not gonna charge a book whilst under heavy load but it’ll trickle charge whilst in light web browsing/office/Netflix use. Charged my switch whilst playing too

  • Just ordered one! Waiting to pick it up :)
