    I used the linkedin download.
    it worked well. Just make sure you open the link and download the pdf which contains your license key and link to download the file.
    Make sure you activate before 30 MAY to get the full version.

    Giveaway License (usually a fixed version): It works the same as the Full License but won't support update.

      Worked for me with that generic license code.

      App now shows up as 'Giveaway License' so I think i'm all set.

      This will come in handy for a few things I'm planning on doing!

      I just go to one of those 'fake id' websites and use a burner email I created.

      The actual software is legit so download that from their website and use the code this mob gives you from feeding them fake info.

      It's legit software and might be the fastest video transcoding software I"ve ever used, but requiring the amount of personal information to download a 'giveaway licence' that nags you to buy the full version is not right.

      Just use the link a few messages above yours. take you directly to download and key info. everyone gets the same key. it's not unique. It sounds like a further restriction is that if you need to reinstall after the 30th of this month it won't work, because key's are not linked to user accounts, so if you were to reinstall after the 30th it can't know you installed previously so won't allow you.

    VideoProc is very convenient, however, based one the tests I've just run, it is nowhere near as good at encoding video to HEVC format using libx265 (using FFmpeg) — file sizes are 50-100% larger for similar quality settings.

    Obviously, the automation of hardware encoding and settings is nice, so if you're not interested in working out video encoding yourself, this is probably a good compromise.
