    Fortune favours the brave?

I'd love to know recent experiences with short-term month to month and how Optus' billing system held up. Last experience I had with them as nothing short of a schmozzle.

    • I recently cancelled my service with them. All my billings were correct and on time. Because they call centre isn’t operating…getting a refund of last month becomes a bit of a hassle since chats won’t be available after you port out (and you will always be in credit because they charge you one month in advance as you pay double the amount of your monthly charge on your first bill)…I just messaged them on Facebook and still waiting for a reply.

good luck even getting 100GB from them… with all the drop outs, you may not even be online that much to get it!!
its a joke, but yes there service is bad! seen so many complaints from friends and colleagues in the last couple of month.

      really depends on your area.
I've had no issues with Optus 4g where I live and consistently get 70mbps down during peak and 100mbps+ offpeak.

On second though Optus is sh*t don't connect and hog all my bandwidth.

      • You are right. I have Optus 4G and get < 3mbps during bad times and around 50mbps during best times.

I get between 50-110mbps consistently where I am.

i had the same experience in Melbourne, from East/West/North/City. To the point, i moved to Vodafone just for the reception and usable data.
While a good deal, the experience isn't worth it even for a second SIM, unfortunately.

I suspect you'll have to chase them up for the points so you'll probably end up staying for 4 months
