  • Meh, you could 3 Acer Liquid Metals for this price….

    • Compare Apples to apples…. the Acer Liquid is a mid end phone with a single core 800mhz CPU. But I agree though, the Acer Liquid is unbeateable value (esp. if you unlock and root)

      • Fair call dude.

    • +1

      Compare Apples to apples….

He was comparing Jonathans to Granny Smiths. Both do rather the same Gingerbread thing, the Sony just a little nicer.
Bigger screen, thinner, a few more pixels.
I tried to look up the tech specs of the Sony, but was confronted mostly by trademarked pseudo-technical terms and few actual facts. Except it has an "LED backlit screen". Wow! So has almost every phone for the last 20 years.

  • So when it is shipped from another country the Tax Invoice will be made here with GST?

    • I imagine there will be no GST charged

  • What version of Android is this running? The page doesnt say.

    • Android Gingerbread v2.3

  • which comes to around $428.40 delivered

EDIT: Neg retracted. CrazySales are selling a different version which supports 800/850/1900/2100

  • i sold mine on ebay last month for $424 delivered brand new. this is a steal! brilliant phone

  • I have one of these on contract. Awesome phone!

  • It's not a great phone. It uses an old outdated Adreno 205 GPU and a Qualcomm chipset. You'd be much better getting a Nexus S for $300 unlocked on Voda with a half decent PowerVR SGX540 GPU and hummingbird chipset. Also the AMOLED screen is superior to the Xperia's LCD screen.

Also, IMO the metal buttons look crappy on the xperia.

    • Depends what you want. Reviews are good, especially the camera. One of the reviews I saw rated the camera as the best of current smartphone's.

    • Nexus S is nice for the google and 3rd party support, but I don't think we get the AMOLED in Australia, do we?

      • Correct. I think its SLCD? No AMOLED Nexus S for us :S

  • Please clarity the model you are selling
    LT15i (900 / 2100)
    LT15a (850 / 1900 / 2100)

Sounds like LT15i to me. (Not NextG compatiable)

    • It looks like the LT15a to me, scroll down, in the specs it mentions - UMTS/HSPA 800/850/1900/2100

So yes NextG is supported if these specs are correct.

      • Hi. I just checked with their cust service. Its the LT15i i.e NOT the NextG / 850Mhz version. Their spec is misleading.

  • Do you guys know about Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S?

  • Not directly related but I just rooted my 15 months old Desire with Sense 2.1 + 3.0 Enhancement. It just rocks (take up lot of memory too:( ). I would not choose this just becuase the UI is just not up to scrach.

I am so glad I did not get suck into all those GS2 deals. Now I am deciding wether to get IP5 or the new phone that has Sense 3.5.

    • Don't get either. The Desire is still a perfectly good phone… I'd wait till next year till you can find some decent cheap 4G 1700MHz phones.
