What's with the recycle of games? I have this on my 3ds.

Nintendo gets away with filling up their catalogue with ports.

This is a remastered version using the new engine with great looking graphics, remastered soundtrack, and also a new epilogue (which the reviews seem to say is really good).

I've already beaten this game twice but now will be a third, easily one of the best JRPGs of all time.

        @mangobango

I agree with you, definitely in my top 3 jrpg games of all time.

I'm glad they remastered this game so a wider audience will have easier access to it.

I hope it's successful and leads to more great games from Monolith Soft.

          Yep here's hoping!

They're easily one of my favourite developers so the more resources they get to make more games the better (which is why I've been shilling this game hard to all my friends LOL)

Still alot less effort than making a new game.

I have copies of this on wii u and 3ds!

        • Eh, I wouldn't say a lot less effort.

There's a pretty interesting read about the development of this game.

Definitely looks like they put a lot of effort into it.

          • @mangobango: Watch the digital foundry review, overall they expected more from the remaster. It doesn't look that much better than the Wii version.

Tip: Buy discounted gift card with suncorp app and ask JB or EB to price match. (Currently priced $69 at JB and $80 at EB) .

Bonus: Gerry doesn’t get your money.

    • +2

I already paid in full with the suncorp giftcard at JB, I guess I'll live without that $1 😭

      • +1

Damn. That $1 could have got you Agents of Mayhem on XB1 or PS4

  • Same price at Amazon delivered if you preferred.

    • I originally preordered through Amazon, but then got an email saying it won't be delivered until next Tuesday.

So decided to click and collect at JB for $1 more plus you get cool posters.

      • Wait, you got posters if you order through JBHifi? Didn't saw it on their website

        • +1

          If you pre-ordered then yes.

I'm working now so I haven't picked it up yet, but the pre-order bonus were some A3 posters (doesn't seem to say it on the site anymore now).

Will confirm once I'm able to go pick it up.

          • +1

@mangobango: Cool, should've pre-oredered through JB too if I knew they gave out posters 😭

            • @winstonst08: Haha, don't worry, I almost missed out myself if amazon didn't delay my order. Otherwise I wouldn't have known either!

  • is the game any good?

    • read reviews. Metacritic sitting at 89 which is huge for a JRPG.

      • yeah nice. cheers
i have a wii u and was thinking to get it on that

        • +1

This is a different game from the Wii U one. This is a remaster of the original Wii game (which also came to New 3DS). The Wii U has Xenoblade Chronicles X, which honestly is also pretty great.
Unless you’re going to grab a Wii copy, in which case I wish you luck. Last I checked they were rare and obscenely expensive.

Playing it for the first time now, pretty good imo and I'm picky with JRPGs, enjoying so far
