This is a great machine. I find myself doing 2 x single shots because the double shot doesn't taste as nice. Could Just be my settings.

Fresh beans is a must with full automatic machines.

    • I agree this is a great machine.Ive had mine for a few years now $773 is a bargain.

Ground too fine error- dont buy delonghi

    • Not sure about your machine model, I am very happy with my Delonghi Magnifica S.

What are you trying to say? Your machine had a ground too fine error, or all machines grind too fine? There's an adjustment in the bean compartment to adjust the grind. Have you tried changing that?

I bought a refurb of this model and have had it for two years, and I love it. Prior to that, I had another DeLonghi refurb for 11 years.

  • We had one of these at my previous workplace. It worked well enough, but to be fair we were using an Aeropress before so couldn't particularly compare the two.

  • One of my friends has this machine from the last 2 years so far it's going great. If you like strong coffee then you need to have two shouts. One is not enough. Its a lot better than the other delongi machine. I definitely recommend this machine.

I don't shout at my coffee and it turns out well :)

Good one, literally sometimes you do.

But thanks mate for picking up the mistake.

  • I have a Prima Donna S, which I think this machine is derived from. It's been a great machine, no complaints. Easy to keep clean (I dont use the steam wand or milk function), feed it fresh beans and be rewarded with consistently good coffee.

  • Bought a dead Perfecta cheap the other week. Was impressed with the simplisticy of the design inside. I'd assume likely to jam or have a leaking seal from time to time. The one I got had a dead thermoblock/ heater. But, easy to work on to replace parts, so if you are half handy it should last forever. Would suggest opening the front spouts from time to time as there was some serious residue inside and isn't accessible with routine cleaning. Oh, and there is a single screw holding the portafilter (to the unit you can pull out from the middle and wash). Remove the screw and scrub with an old toothbrush or similar, as this was quite blocked with oily residue as well. No signs of scale inside my unit, so must have descaled regularly, but oil build up was definitely rife.

  • Great product no complaints, bought it a few months ago for $999 bargain at $770

  • Does cashback work?
