Well obviously this isn't for everyone but if you can convince yourself to shell out the money for it you will be very satisfied with its built quality. You get a bunch of ports and it essentially transforms your surface pro into a mini surface studio.

The usual going price is ~$550 and I think this is the cheapest I have personally seen. If you have thought about getting it then this is a good time.

P.S. Looks like it is also available at Officeworks for $599, so you can save another $20~ bucks there with price match.

    Yeah but this is no doubt more elegant. Once you have used it, it is pretty hard to go back to a wobble stand and a messy dongle.
    Also, a regular surface dock isn't exactly cheap. You won't save much if you get a good quality stand.

  Not as ridiculous in price as the Apple Mac Pro stand, but you'd still have to gasp at this price

  Just be warned if you get this, the magnets on the side is absolute rubbish and comes off in less than 24h

    You probably got a faulty unit? Mine has been fine. I think you can just use some hot melt glue for a quick fix if it ever falls out.
