I regret I bought an Asus tuf3 5700xt for $100 less. The hotspot and mem temp is above 100 degrees. The Fan is noisy. Spending $100 more to get a better cooling is worth it.

I think this is touted as one of the best 5700xt's on the market (If i recall gamers nexus and hardware unboxed reviews correctly)

    • Still available for backorder.

      • Awesome. Incredible price, but I'm a bit worried on the issues around amd GPUs. Do you know if manufacturers warranty is honoured on this purchase?

        • There have been conflicting responses on this. Amazon support says yes but some t&cs on imports say no. Amazon support has been quite good for me and I would lean toward not worrying about it. If it’s defective on arrival you can always return it.

I've been watching Amazon US prices on 5700 XT's a bit the last week or so, waiting to pounce. The prices jump around daily pretty much. If you like the Red Dragon you might like the Sapphire Pulse for $672.34 at the moment https://www.amazon.com.au/Sapphire-Radeon-Triple-Backplate-G…

    • Thanks for the Heads up on the Pulse. I'm very interested in the Sapphire mainly because of the Trixx Boost I read about in a review and how it can help with 1440p 144hz gaming.
It's the XT worth it over the 5700? I found a guide on how to unlock the 5700 but there's a risk of bricking it

I was looking at the 5700 and flashing it too but didn't feel it was worth the risk for the money saved. I'm down to 2 models to choose from now, the Pulse and the Thicc III Ultra for $688.74 https://www.amazon.com.au/XFX-Thicc-2025MHz-Graphics-Rx-57XT…

Only issue I can see with the Thicc III is the power consumption however you can bring that back a bit with the BIOS switch I guess.

They both dropped another $10 overnight, I caved and ordered the Thicc III Ultra @ $678 this morning

Probably worth noting the Thicc III 5700 XT non Ultra is $646.53 now too https://www.amazon.com.au/XFX-Thicc-2025MHz-Graphics-Rx-57XT…

          • @thunda: Noice!
Is the Ultra the XFX's equivalent of the Nitro+ and Red Devil? Apologies as I'm not familiar with XFX's offerings

            If so, that's Nitro+'s speed @ Pulse's price!

            Enjoy!

@Navanod66: Yes the Ultra is roughly the same speed as the Nitro+ and it appears they fixed their cooling issues too so I was pretty happy with that one. The non Ultra is the same speed as the Pulse
