Is it just me thinking $1000 isn’t cheap for security cameras? Maybe good value for money…

  • +1

$1000 is not a bargain tbh, I bought one set last year for sub $650 from Amazon

    • Wow really. Damnit I bought the deal with 4 cameras and $9 cashback from Shopback. But I think this deal is better. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

        Different cameras.

        • I was referring to ericc's deal from Amazon. He mentioned he got it for sub $650.

      • To me, 2C is not a real update from version 1. So I would wait for a better sale and buy the pack of version 1 because of longer battery life.

  • you can get 3 for $600 something

As other's have said. Previously could get group of 3 + echo dot for <$600 from Amazon. Worth waiting for further deals.

  • Alro Pro 2 4 cams $999 (minus 7% cashback through Shopback) :https://www.amazon.com.au/Arlo-Pro-Rechargeable-Wire-Free-VMS4430P-100AUS/dp/B07CGZ85VH

These are better than the Arlo, check out reviews for them and go check them out in person if you can. As said above though these have been 650 for a 4 pack before

      • They have non-removable and non-replaceable batteries. Would that be a concern?

  • +2

I paid full price of 1249 for set of 4 since day one, the best cctv system I have had so far, pricey but simply working.

  • I have Arlo, friend has Eufy. Both are good at what they are sold as. I went Arlo, due to being able to replace the batteries.

  • Just something to note. The cool feature with the camera is that it does human detection, to stop camera detecting tree's moving in the wind etc, BUT it doesn't work at night, so it detects everything at night, and also remember this detects movement the same way as a motion sensor light does using PIR. It is not detecting actual movement across the sensor. So it will be more prone to false alerts.

During the day it's a different story
