@thedean You probably have a subscription and signed in. On my Samsung 10.5s I cannot use it without a subscription. Sure I can open things but not save. I just reinstalled it to confirm. So annoying that the 0.5 difference in screensize seperates free vr paid.

@Skinnerr: Not so easy. You would need to sign up for a Course or the likes via UTAS, Tafe etc or be a student. Not sure it is worthwhile doing just for a little discount as there is a bit of paperwork to do, not to mention doing the course.
Other option is ask a friend who has one and use theirs.

One very small detail (for the few that use Microsoft office Apps). You will have to pay for them. Only free for 10" or smaller. It annoyed me when I purchased the Tab 10.5s several years back,
Love the Samsung tablets and no doubt this is a great one as well. Just a tad expensive ever at $888 hence my 10.5s will continue to plod along, which it still does well.
