Upto 83% (advertised 30%) off some Miele appliances on eBay.

This one in particular is a steal. I'd buy one if I had to replace an induction model.

    miele is on ebay now?

Any good deals on a dryer?

  • +1

I'd still go to their clearance centre…

  • +7

    no dishwashers, bummer

    2 sales.
    weird

  • +13

    Very weird.

My 'something isn't right' sensors are tingling.

    • -1

meiles facebook person said it was them fyi!

  • yeah that's cause its miele - overpriced crap a lot of it..

    • What makes it overpriced? Genuinely interested

      • +2

The upfront costs, the insane repair prices, and the general lack of quality leading to people finding out how insane their repair costs are. They charge prices that are premium but with non-premium longevity.

        • exactly

          • +7

@petry: My 12 YO washer hasn't skipped a beat, and my mums Miele vacuum cleaner from 86 is still going strong

            • +1

@SupeNintendoChalmers: My 12YO washer is also good. However, in that time I've replaced, with other brands - an oven, an induction cooktop, a dishwasher and a dryer.

        • my parents had miele microwave/oven/cooktop from about 1984
microwave broke about 10 years ago
rest is still going well tho

          • +3

@netpenthe: yeah but everything from 1984 is still going, it's the stuff that's been made in the last 10 years you need to worry about. Forever in a cycle of upgrading because repair costs are too high

        • +1

non-premium longevity. I know this goes for Smeg, but I don't know enough people with a Miele to say. The vacuum cleaners are legendary though

        • Which model did you have issue with by the way? Just curious

        • +2

Used to sell Miele at TGG and found the opposite to be true. It's one of the most reliable brands, up there with Bosch and Whirlpool.

          • @Ryballs: But vastly more expensive than them (generally), thus the poor review. (I've replaced mine with … Bosch and Whirlpool, so moving in the right direction :-)

      • When one can't afford it

    Title has Up to in it;

why moderator don't take any action?

This is the reason moderator removed my Ray Ban post!

"Deal posts that contains ambiguous or non descriptive titles such as 'up to 50% off sale', 'big clearance' or 'sale' may be unpublished unless specific items & prices are mentioned within the deal description OR a dedicated offer/discount such as '50% off sale' is present (preferably in the title)."

    • +2

Report the deal if you think it's worded incorrectly and a mod/power user will have a look at it.

      • Oh I didn't know it, let me check :)

    • I have a specific deal which is worthwhile in the description. Happy for it to be removed/modified if its not suitable.

    • unless specific items & prices are mentioned within the deal description

Miele CSDA 1010 CombiSet cooktop with extractor(ebay.com.au): Down from $5,999 to $999

  • +5

Eh bought the induction via PayPal - in it to win it…..

  • +2

"Deal" definitely looks a bit dodgy.

On another note, how effective are these downdraught extractors?

    • I was wondering how would those extractors work as well. Doesn't seem that effective

    • I just messaged them on their facebook account and they said it's legit.

    • I've seen some ads/videos, but I doubt it would be that effective. The design certainly works best for kitchen islands, Crêpes Suzette?

    • +1

I can vouch for the downdraught extractors, I installed Miele in my kitchen reno. It works very, very well and easy to clean.

  • that cooktop would be very old stock base of design and knobs. however with 2 sales only, i would give it a miss and spend more for an updated model.

    • +5

i prefer knobs to touch panel as water always sends my whirpool induction off or where ever it feels
like going ….got love a good
      knob

    • It seems from promo material it's from 2017, so not too old

  • +17

I took the gamble and paid for 2 for our new build, paid via PayPal says Miele Australia Pty Ltd.

I also just received a text message from them with order info, delivery, info and that drive will call 30mins prior and any changes to be made to head to the Miele site, in addition to an official Miele Tax invoice to my email, if people need me to share happy to do so.

    • thanks!

  • +4

Also confirming I just received an invoice from Miele PTY LTD!

  • +2

Just fyi they are not fake totally legit,I bought rangehood last year from their ebay store in May 2019 it was alright, but it was opened box sale with brand new item in there. So probably this will be the same.

  • +4

Just heads up spoke to them on Facebook.

They confirmed that it is their legitimate account.

  • Maybe it is just me, Miele cocktop i have for 8 years is not that special, one burner quite often fails to ignite so I have to rely on a bbq lighter. To be fair other than that nothing is wrong, materials last all these 8 years without looking aged. However older cooktop I had did not have much problem either.

    • +5

      How big is this cocktop?

      • +4

        About 10 inches.

        • +1

Oh ok i think we need more than a BBQ lighter to light it then

  • bought the stove top …feel it’s a pricing error ?

    • +1

Did you get the CSDA 1010? Such a bargin! Marked from $5,999 to $999!! I got it on Afterpay so I didn't have to pay all up!

      • +1

yes hum and hard but i think knobs are better than touch panels. might be good one to resale if it’s not a pricing error

    • +1

bought one too…this is 900mm right? hope this fits my bench top!

      • yes it's 900mm. Time to replace my Smeg gas cooktop.

    • +1

I just made an order too, hopefully they will honor the deal even if it's pricing error.

  • Dang if only it was a gas cooktop with downdraft

  • Anyone know about what oven to get?

    • Juat fyi do some proce searches on ovens elsewhere. The prices on everything else but the induction cooktop don't seem to be that great.

  • damn no range hoods. Looking to get a new canopy rangehood if anyone has any recommendations.

  • There really isn't anything on here that's cheap even after discount, unless you need some exotic thing like a plate warmer or cooktop with built in extractor. Just paying for the name and higher repair costs

  • +1

    bought one induction stove
top on this deal all paperwork been sent out to my email …confirmation letter. ie is you are purchasing this exhaust fan set up is little bit of set up as it has to exhaust from a cupboard or straight out of house through wall , my question is if it goes out cupboard wouldn’t that big odd as it would blow into kitchen area not through roof ?

    • extraction pipe lives in the cupboard - then you make a hole in the cabinet either back or top to vent to atmosphere. Gas cook tops are required to vent to atmosphere - not sure about others - there are some maybe electric that can go into a charcoal filter instead.

      • got it …thanks for info and good day to you. : )

  • Looks like the induction cooktop has been OzBargained.

    • And now looks like they've been re-stocked!

  • any vacumm cleaners?

    • no of course, because that is the best thing they make

      • I heard good things about them, pity

  • +1
  • Purchased. And now we wait…

    • +1

lol…same here…my Technika induction fell apart a month ago, been using a temporary induction cooktop, hope this fits a 900mm benchtop! Otherwise, i need to take up a whole kitchen uplift including the benchtop.

      • If this is legit it will be the catalyst for a kitchen renovation! Lol

        • I messaged the meile australia facebook account and they said its legit.

  • +1

    1) This ebay is definitely from Miele Australia. I just purchased this item through eBay. I received my followup delivery notice via SMS from miele Australia. (Same as the order I completed directly through miele.com.au back during Apr-2020 sale)

Looks like these models are all superseded models that arent for sale on the Miele website?

Not that there's anything wrong with superseded/old models

  • +1

Cheers for that! Can tick the cooktop off the list of things to get before the kitchen reno starts

  • +2

Are these guys apple of kitchen appliances? The sale prices seem insane as well.

    • quality stuff …but yer it’s german made and keeps it looks imho

    • Fair comparison - super-premium prices, decent gear.

  • Heads up for those thinking about the oven (as I was): https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/miele-h-2661-bp

  • Perfect timing. Thanks OP. Building a house. Just got the fancy cooktop.

  • Shame they only seem to carry ovens and stoves.

Hopefully more of their range get added.

  • We have a rangehood from Miele, the entry level one. Broke down at 2.5 years (Warranty 2 years) and they covered it no questions asked. Not sure whether i should be happy for their great service or disappointed with my rangehood.

  • +1

Just as an update. Mine were delivered this morning around 9am :)

    • cook top? how big is carton if you have time to give rough size ? cheers

      • Rangehood box is about the size of a large microwave box (63cmx63x40cm) Induction hobs there are two separate boxes (58cmx48x20cm)
One full kit would easily fit in a car.

        • it’s a lot of box’s for
not much $$$ think i sold mine before i already recieved gotta love a good deal ….counting my chickens before they are laid but hey it’s a bargain at $1800 for the right person

    • Did you purchase the CSDA1010 cooktop??

  • Contacted Miele this morning to arrange delivery of a CDSA1010. Advised not in stock till next week. (Sydney). Seemed good to deal with.

  • +1

CDSA1010 now showing on Ebay as 0 available/110 sold.
