[PC] CYBERPUNK 2077 - Pre-Purchase in Russia Store for RUB1,999 (A$42) @ Epic Games

241

Listed for $89 on AU store sites.

I did make a new account using Surfshark VPN in the Russia store for BL3 with coupon deal a few weeks ago and my account has not been banned. I have been using the games without VPN, I have completed the free game transactions without VPN as well.

Edit: I was not expecting a ban or anything, it was discussed in the BL3 deal and I wanted to give people an update if they were concerned :)

Eh, I pre-ordered it off Amazon for $63.

I'd rather spend the extra $20 to get a DRM-free GOG key and not have to jump through pretty grey hoops to get/play this game.

    • Is this still available or am I too late?

      • +1

I think too late sadly, to be fair I pre-ordered back in Jan when it was $68 + the $5 discount on game pre-orders.

Probably still worth pre-ordering now as they have the pre-order price guarantee, and if you see it elsewhere cheaper in the meantime you can easily cancel it.

      • If you haven't already used the $10 mobile app voucher 'APPONLY10' you can preorder for $68 now. Price is likely to drop another $10 sometime before release though.

        • Woops. I already got it from CD Keys already. Oh well.

    • +6

You can pick it up via CDkeys for $66.59 which is a GOG key - https://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/cyberpunk-2077-gog-pc

    • GOG currently have it for $89.95 unfortunately.

But you're right, GOG would be better because you're not going to get shitty DRM. I recommend GOG if you're going to pay the same price they sell at.

You underestimate the hoops Ozbargainers will jump thru for a deal.

  • +5

    Yeah…nah.

great price, nice savings, got one thanks op

  • I guess you cant purchase this without ru paypal or card?

  • +7

Honestly…. just buy the damn thing in your local region.

  • Imagine losing your EPIC account on the basis of saving a few $$$

    Don't.

  • +9

This is why I love OzB.

Sure I agree with most commenters here. I'll be buying local.

But you have to applaud the bargainer spirit - Bravo!

  • +5

not buying a pre-order - will wait until game is released to see if it's actually worth it, not buggy, etc

    • I can guarantee it will be pretty buggy just like The Witcher 3 was at launch, wait like 6 months if you care about bugs.

Thank you comrade, your socialist spirit is strong :)

Buying from GOG makes sure all the money goes to CD Projekt.

    • +1

That's a good idea, I didn't think of that fact.

      Will do the same

    • is GOG another launcher i need installed?

      • No. You can download games without the installer. All the games have standalone installer without any sort of DRM. Those games can be run without the launcher started. I imagine using the launcher can make downloading the games easier though because there is a proper download manager for handling chunked downloads.

    Plus one for rubbles

    Comrades always get cheaper deals.

  • +4

    No thank you,

Cd project have been the gaming advocates for great game development and DRM free content, I will happily pay full price directly to the company.

Thats great but if you knew the amount of interest for BL3 on crackwatch for example, you would realise the world doesn't revolve around you. I think there are others like me who do not want to spend over an X amount on a game so in the bigger picture some money is better than none.

      • For sure some people will pay what they can afford/want to pay, no issues with that, better to buy than not at all! But on the other side of the coin I personally want to see the revenue from this blow every other game out of the water. No online trash (go to hell War3 Reforged you pile of bitcrap) and DRM free (die in a fire, you scourge Denuvo).

If CDPR discount the game in our respective market, that's great, but I'm personally happy to buy it here.

Never seen a game so hyped. If it's awesome then great but if it sucks then it'll still be bloody entertaining watching the fanboys burn everything to the ground

    • different times but i very clearly remember the hype around Perfect Dark back in the day as the spiritual successor to Goldeneye

Isn't preordering this like a meme now?

    • Yep, while im pretty sure these devs wont release a bad product, its still not worth normalizing this behaviour.

  • Followed you on the BL3 purchase and it's been a little buggy but well worth the savings

  • CD Projekt is one of the few gaming companies actually not intending to exploit and rip gamers. They even said there will be no DLCs for this game.

  • RU sure?

  • -1

This is DRM free…You can choose not to pay anything

    • Can you explain that, please?
