Hi guys, noticed this offer when opening the booking.com app today. The latest version of the app is required.
"Liking" involves tapping the heart icon on a property. The credit expires in August 2021.
i booked an airbnb. owner cancelled on me on my arrival date. no compensation from airbnb. really screwed me over
Well in these covid times, thank for for that policy. Would have lost my entire Summer trip if it wasn't for that (the same places we booked on booking(dot)com had free cancellation, while the airbnb version of those properties were without free cancellation).
But you probably only got credit anyways. They don't care about hosts or guests

Check your email - I got a confirmation email within a couple of minutes saying $15 had been credited into the wallet.
Did you have to click anything on the popup after adding the three properties? I accidentally closed it really quickly oops
Under the wishlists, the app should let you know when you've fulfilled the requirements - I got an email confirming this almost immediately after I'd liked the three.
I did notice that a property I'd liked a few days ago didn't count towards this though, so maybe try liking a a few more just in case it didn't register?
@toyocoro: Thankyou. I got the confirmation in app but can't see it in the wallet, and no email. Will check again tomorrow in case they got a flood of applications since we can all travel now :)
edit: just got an email, about 1 hour after I satisfied the wishlist requirements

If you're having problems finding it, do make sure you've got the latest app and then look in the 'wish lists' section in the menu. I had the banner pop up there.
Installed app now and logged in with existing account, not seeing $15 banner in wishlist
Try again a bit later - it wasn't there for me yesterday but appeared today

We booked on booking.com for New York 2019 for the NY Marathon.
They cancelled our booking a few months before our date citing a “price error”
We the had the option of booking another property and they would refund us the difference paid. We were very skeptical and booked a similar hotel to what we had originally booked. We submitted the refund request after our stay as they had requested. To our surprise, we received a refund of the difference of about $1000 AUD.
While I was completely pissed they screwed up our booking, I was pleasantly surprised they didn’t screw us over.

check on booking.com then call the hotel and get same or even better price! rather hand over my money to the legit owner than booking.sharks!!

I wouldn't host on booking.com Constantly people cancelling their bookings free of charge and booking months ahead. Charges alot and pays out very late. Even though Airbnb is bad, booking is much worse.
