  • If only this was VESA mountable…

      The 27" has a 75x75 wall mount.

You should add the 27” CJG54 Curved Gaming Monitor $381.65 to the deal too, -$50 make's it a really good deal for a 1440p 144hz monitor since in other stores it's $489 at PC stores.

    • added, thanks

    • Added it to cart, went out of stock 😓

  • edu account

  • would be interesting if they have g-sync curved screens because all stores seem to be sold out of the samsung 27RG50.

  • How does one use the $50 off?

When you log into your samsung edu account, you should see a grey notification bar at the bottom of the screen. Fill in the details and you should receive a unique code in your email. Took about an hour for my code to arrive.

      • I managed to get the code, however in the fine print it says that it doesn’t work for the education store, mine said invalid code. has anyone had different mileage?

        • It worked for me. Must spend $250 and above to utilize the code. I managed to get the the 27 inch CJG54 for $330 ($380-$50).

          • @j0hnd0e: That’s the one I’m attempting to buy, but when I enter the code it circles then says invalid… hmm

            • @HeliusDragon: It should work. The t&cs: Discount off eligible purchases equal to or greater than $250 on selected Samsung Enhanced

@j0hnd0e: Hot tip for all you monitor lovers out there. If you sign up on the Samsung main site, your code WILL NOT work on the edu store, even if you have, however, if you sign up again with the pop-up in the edu store it will work!

          • @j0hnd0e: My code was denied at checkout saying it’s not for education store?

Just purchased the C27JG54. $330 for a 27 inch 1440P 144hz curved display is amazing value.

  • Thanks for the deal!! Just got the curved gaming monitor! :)

  • Bargain thanks op. Been trying to buy a monitor but due to Rona these where all way overpriced so held off.great deal.

PS about time my son saved me some money it seems to be spend spend spend with kids.

    • +1

That Rona person sounds like an ass >:(

  • +1

Damn it! I missed out, took forever for samsung to send me the code :( If anyone wants to sell their 27inch monitor, pm please!

  • Only 24” left in stock…oh well

    • Still a bargain as it's under $300 it's an instant tax deductible for the full amount. So depending on your tax rate could be another $50 off.

      • Kudos to you for knowing the difference between a tax deduction and a tax offset.

      • Is the tax deduction for this only for peiple who used it work from home?

        • Both me and the missus are working from home so will be used for work purposes during the day. Just a plus that it can be used as a gaming monitor at night.

          https://www.ato.gov.au/Individuals/Income-and-deductions/In-detail/Capital-allowances---$300-immediate-deduction-tests/

"To claim the immediate deduction, you must use the depreciating asset more than 50% of the time for producing non-business assessable income."

@paulcad44: Until you get audited for needing a 144hz for business LOL

            • @Top G: I need a monitor for work, i have a diary of the days and hours i work from home. It was $205 which is reasonable especially given the inflated prices. Spec doesnt come into it.

  • To access the Samsung Education Store, you must be an eligible student or employee of an Australian educational institution and have a valid email address ending in .edu.au.

    • -1

      Or buy one from eBay?

  • -1

Why the (profanity) would anyone want a curved 24" monitor? It's not exactly too large to see.

If only I were awake 5 hours ago :(

  • I work for the Department of Education in NT. We don't have an edu.au email. It's ntschools.net. How do I go about signing up for Samsung Edu account?

    • Give it a go. They should take this into account.
If not, let them know :)

      • Didn't work!!

I guess Department of Education employee in the NT are not regconised. :(

        • +1

          I wonder why

    • +1

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 'The Department' isn't an 'Educational Institution'. Not hoping for your ineligibility; just playing devil's advocate. :)

(Edit) Ignore this, it seems OP's model is different and is a better model

Centrecom sells it for $199 including delivery https://www.centrecom.com.au/samsung-ls24r350fhexxy-24-1920x…

  • $50 signup discounts doesn’t work with Education store.

Check your emails T&C and chat with sales team for confirmation.

    • It does. Just that education store & normal Samsung store are treated differently.

If you sign up on edu store, it only works on edu.

If you sign up on normal store, it only works on normal store.

Had this issue before when purchasing S20+.

      • how did you bypass that?

        • +1

Signed up again with the appropriate store (had to use different email), no issues. By this I meant, go to the edu store, wait for the popup to appear, then follow the prompt.

The edu store and normal store "coupon" code has a different prefix, iirc.

They may however close this loophole now - I cannot verify since the monitors I want are all out of stock :(

  • Hey OP if the 50 bucks stack doesn't work, can you please update title

    • Thank you, just updated.

  • Great price

  • I'm in a loop asking me to sign-in, follow link, reverify my email, wtf

EDIT: all good now, it somehow recognised my email after a few loops.

  • This or AOC 24G1

  • Looks like it is out of stock now.

  • Great deal on the 27" and I was all ready to set up an education account for it. Saved myself $330 when it is sold out.

I just realised I haven't played games for a few years but I still built a new gaming PC last year. Need to upgrade the old 24" monitor to finish the project.

  • Can someone advise me what the pros / cons of having a curved monitor are?
    And one at this size?

In my head I always saw those ultrawide massive 3X+ 4X+ inch screens which would benefit (less colour shift, better viewing angles of the whole screen).
What other benefits are there that I am too naive to recognise?

    (I use flat 27 and 32 inch 16:9 screens)

  • Damn, I hope the 27" comes back in stock before the deal ends.

    • Me too. I wonder if they update stock often.

  • Had a call today to arrange delivery on Monday. Considering I ordered on Thursday morning I'd say that's a great turnaround.

    • Same here! Hoping my new desk arrives in time as well.

  • Does anyone have a Education Store Discount code they didn't use? Offer ends in a few hours.

    • Where did you see details of when it ends? Still seems to be on for me but still no stock of the 27"

      • +1
