I purchased this item from NewEgg at similar price a month ago.
Now PLE has it for $499, which I think it is a good price.
Gigabyte also release their new BIOS for this card as well, which improves the stability of the card.

I am with this combination. I think it's a very balanced option for Ultra FHD gaming.

Built 3600 + 5600 xt sapphire pulse a few months back. I chose Sapphire cuz it's quieter
I agree this is a good deal. The gigabyte is 1 of the best 5600xt cards. Props for PLE too, I got a Lian li case, power supply and strimer plus cables from them recently all at very good prices.

this was $446 on amazon yesterday…back up to $480 now haha for $20 difference i would get it locally, easier return and you don't have to wait 20 days for delivery from the US.
also there is a free SSD if bought locally
This is one of the better 5600 XTs according to Hardware Unboxed, unlike the Gigabyte Windforce, which is hot garbage.
What makes the Windforce version of this card hot garbage? I got the wind force version of it and it has been solid so far. I am mostly in a Linux terminal tho but I do quite often game on both Windows and Linux. Gaming at QHD ultra is super smooth in every game I have tested.
Relatively hotter and louder than other non reference cards while running at lower clocks.
Usually the Windforce cards are lower binned and have slightly inferior heat sink. I'm pretty sure the fans are exactly the same between the 2 (1-2mm difference in size) though so should be the same as loud at the same rpm. I usually just go with Windforce to save $50-$100 then overclock + undervolt the crap out of them, acceptable temp/noise and perform on par with any other cards. The Windforce version of 5600 XT only have 2 fans though, so the temp difference could be huge.
I think a few retailers have this card at this price - I believe due to the Gigabyte promotion. I just bought this for a mate's rig for $499 at Mwave.
Mirroring the other comments in this thread, this card's very well reviewed both from a clock speed and cooler design.

This or a 1660 super?
Cost ~20% more for ~15% extra performance, so depends on your budget? If you need better card than 1660 Super and still want Nvidia for other stuff like encoding/RTX voice then consider the 2060.
