What's the best way to charge these?

    • Was about to ask the same thing, any good deals on a charger?

      • +4

As Warpath says below, the Liitokala chargers are great value.

Something like this, although not the best price ever.

Nitecore D4 is the rage these days…

    • +2

Nitecore SC4 is where it's at.

I bought the eneloop quick charger and have been happy. About 1.5 hours to full with these.

      • Is it just me or do these chargers work abit funny. I got 2 different notecore models.i could put the eneloops on charge then show it charging to full. I could straight away remove it and put it back on the charge without using. It will start charging from the second to last bar or so. Anyone know why this is?

It's with all my eneloops and other rechargeable batteries too.

      • Likewise, not as hardcore as the more specialist ones, but if you're just charging batteries for TV remotes, who cares?

    • I'm using Maha MH-C800s

    • I'm using Opus BT-C3100

  • -4

    In a charger.

  • I have an 8 slot Maha charger. Works great

    • That charger is expensive though. I use my La Crosse BC700 to handle my AA & AAA batteries, the LiitoKala Lii500 or Xtar VC4 to charge Li-ion batteries

  • +1

How to be eligible for free shipping?

  • These charges are very good Nitecore D4 D2 New i4 New i2 i8 Q2 Q4.i.

    • I'm probably more keen on the D4 or New I4 because the LiitoKala Lii-402 doesn't do NiCAD but the prices on the D4 seem to vary a bit and I'm wondering if they are all genuine. Who is a reliable seller of Nitecore ?
Or is there a LittoKala that can do NiCD,NiMH and LiON

  • +2

    Charger = liitokala lii‑402

    • Liito have a really good online sale once a year, if anyone's thinking particularly long term … i picked up a lii-402 for around $9 … many big name vendors periodically offer similarly big reductions also.

  • +4

The shipping costs bit steep, and buying more quantity doesnt help either.

    • +4

If you want more than 4 batteries delivered,Ikea Ladda is cheaper.

      https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/ladda-rechargeable-battery-7030…

      • Thanks, I will have a look at these.

      • Good choice. Will pick 2 4pk each for AA and AAAs and i think I will be sufficient for few years.

      • +1

I’ve been using these Eneloop Pro and the standard ones and I find the Ladda is faster & more reliable for my flash.

    • You do get a discount if you buy multiple e.g. Shipping for 4 packs is $12.50 instead of $20. Do I need that many eneloops though? hmm..

  • +1

Does the charge capacity degrade between charge cycles? If yes, does anyone know by how much?

    • +15

Yes it does. My Eneloops have dropped 10% capacity in 12 years of use.

      • Damn, that's better than my lithium ion phone battery.

        • -1

Most mobile phone batteries are Made In China. My Eneloops are Made In Japan.

      • +1

        Crikey that's impressive

      • Could be a memory effect, so you would need to fully discharge first then recharge and maybe you'll still get the full advertised capacity?

  • Why is shipping so high

  • +2

    Deal:$17.49GST Inc.

    $48.00Was: $39.95

What is this? Eneloop pro 4 packs are never $40+ lol

    • +3

Agreed, can be had for ~$20 easily on ebay:
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Panasonic-Eneloop-Pro-AAA-NiMH-R…

      • Thanks seems I just bought the last one - $22.55 posted!

      • Thanks. I just bought the last one + one. Now saying 7 remaining.
I have eBay Plus so went with this. Last time I ordered these through eBay (from another seller) they didn't turn up. So after waiting for a month no problem getting a full refund.

  • I bought 1 each. Good deal.

    • How? You can get similar on ebay if you include shipping cost

  • +1
    • $2.75 for shipping.

  • +1

Are these like the the ikea ones?

    • +2

people claim they are because same rating and made in japan but i haven’t seem a bake off over 200 cycles to prove it.

    • +4

Yes they are. There is only 1 factory in Japan that makes rechargeable batteries. So if the battery is 'made in Japan', then it's the same as Eneloop. Therefore Ladda = Eneloop Pro
      Source: https://youtu.be/Jeo_hv-8bHI

      • Awesome, didn't even know about these 'Ladda' batteries. Will have to pick up a pack or two next time I'm at Ikea.

      • That video's from 2017, so it's a bit out of date now with the reference to Panasonic's Chinaloops, as Panasonic has since returned production of non-Pro Eneloops back to Japan as well (since around 2018), so both Eneloop lines are now fully made in Japan.

The assertion that IKEA's Ladda cells and other re-branded, Japanese NiMH LSD batteries (like Fujitsu and AmazonBasics) are all coming out of the one factory is definitely true though.

  • +3

I wish Moore's law applied to eneloop cycles.

  • What price should we be looking at for these?

Is this close to all time lows?

  • +1

Are these pro eneloops higher capacity than the regular one's?

  • -1

    These better than energizers?

    • Oh yeah

    • The energizer rechargeables are garbage.

  • are these 2550mah or 950 ?>

    • Both? Only AAs can be around 2500mAh and AAAs are around 900ish.
I think you've bought Anyloops" if you have an AA with only 900mAh or a AAA rated at 2500. But that's ok; they'll still work in the Sorny TV remote alright…lol

      • ooh I swear I saw 950mah AA eneloop pro's

  • Still waiting on my camera house order from months ago.

    • Wow! Did you send them an email? I got mine after a while but I chased it up, reminding them of their obligations!

      • Yes they kept pushing back the shipping date, last email they said it would come about now in mid June.

    • same here

  • -1

I remember when these were $2 each!

  • +1

The biggest issue with rechargeable batteries (which some may not be aware of) is that the fully charged voltage is lower. It is NOT the same as non rechargeable & MANY DEVICES just won't work with the lower voltage or if they do it's only hours before they wont!!!

Reusable batteries start with a lower voltage of 1.2 V, while alkaline batteries have a much more powerful starting voltage of 1.5 V.

  • Does anyone know this is any good? Or have anyone try this before?
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/4-20X-BTY-AAA-Rechargeable-Batte…

    • +2

These are crap. Save $5 and get some Laddas

  • Must hold off buying more eneloops….
From the recent microsd card deal from Shopping Square, please note that they may take up to 2 weeks to actually ship your item. So may be awhile before you receive it.

  • Did anyone do PayPal checkout and received no confirmation whatsoever from them?? It's been 3 days since I ordered and all I got was the receipt from PayPal straight after ordering but nothing from Shopping Square.

    • Shopping Square take ages to process the order. I ordered a 128gb microsd card from them 20 days ago and it took them two weeks to actually dispatched. I still haven't received it so don't expect to get your eneloops anytime soon.

      • Wow that's horrible. What are they, a one man company?
