  • Looks like you paid 50 cents on the receipt.

    • Lol you are right. I will change the price from $1.80 to 50c. Thanks for getting me a bargain, buddy lol!

  • sometimes the calculator is quicker than excel ….
and the phone locks the screen unless always using it …and then need to pickup and unlock.

    • Yep. Particularly when work computers lock your screen every 5 mins… and demand that your password has seven crazier characters than last month's password.. :S

Given that everyone has a phone with a calculator app that comes as standard (with more functions), these things are just e-waste now.

Yeah agreed. However. Engineers/scientists/prettymuch everyone else looks bad when they are on their phones a lot at work. Otherwise I would have stopped using them ages ago. Rather, Engineers/scientists look pretty cool when using a tiny little cute white calculator lol.

      • Engineers/scientists

I would be very surprised if employers were not supplying these types of employees with at least scientific calculators if needed for work. If not I would be demanding they were

        Good deal otherwise

If it helps, I'm an engineer, and I still use the Casio FX82 that got me through highschool and university

    • A phone may be capable and flexible but thanks to the trend set by Apple all those years ago, sometimes form gets in the way of function.

Some simple examples are no more tactile feedback pressing and finding keys, or even having to wait for a billion transition animations …
