Does anyone know a good carbonara/alfredo jar/fresh sauce that isnt tart/acidic? All the ones ive tried have a weird tart/sour taste to it
3 egg yolks 300ml cream 100g parmasan cheese.
Cook bacon and garlic letting bacon really cook and dry to build flavor while pasta water comes to temp and pasta cooks. Drain and add pasta + some pasta water (to help the sauce bind) turn off heat and put the cream parmesan and yolks (mixed) into the pan and stir until thickened.
I would usually add cracked pepper to the cream mix, don't use ground.
Appreciate the reply, but i know how to do that, i use jars when i cant be assed cooking and theres left over pasta/pasta is quick and easy to cook up.
I never use those fake sauces, closest I go is barilla arrabiata, but that's pretty great.
Yep, all cream type pasta sauces in jars have a weird taste. We don’t buy any now, haven’t found any good.
It’s simple just to make your own.
I've found Latina ravioli tastes pretty bad. The filling is pastey, salty, and doesn't taste right at all. I've found Leggos are pretty good though, or the frozen ones with the Italian flag on them.

Lol yeah I'll admit sometimes we have ghetto ravioli (cooked ravilio with tomato sauce) with this stuff if it's all that's on special ;) It's still an easy meal I guess..
Leggos ones taste better the next day, filling flavors the pasta.
