Zomato Gold 12 Month Membership $28.80 with Referral ($36 without)

62

Price drop on Zomato Gold Annual Membership stacks with 20% off from referral code = just $28.80 for 12 months. Price is consistent for all three cities (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane). Similar to last year's Black Friday promo price.

Not sure if it is a temporary thing due to COVID-19 but if so, now is a good chance to get your membership as restrictions begin to ease and in case the price goes back up.

The list of restaurants has definitely shrunk and I can't see any 1+1 deals in Sydney - restaurants generally offer a flat 10-30% off. However, there are some decent spots in the CBD that don't usually offer discounts on EatClub or otherwise (my faves are Kobe Wagyu, Chefs Gallery, Spice World and Shiki). At this price, you can make your money back in just a handful of visits so definitely worth it imo.

Note: Currently referee gets 20% off but referrer does not receive any free months.

10% off doesn't seem like much, I really hate using discounts or apps when dining out. 30% would be worth it, and the Adelaide list isn't too bad but I can't see what the offers are.

Aren't you on the wrong web site to be saying that sort of sh*t?

Do not recommend. They introduced flat discounts and removed most of the 1+1 promotions. I suppose if you want to go to the flat discount restaurants already, then it may be worth your while, but it is no longer the good deal it was introduced as. You are likely to get better savings with apps like eatclub or sosure. The benefit for the flat discount (which is only about 10-20%, only a very small handful at any better than 30%) is that you can apply the discount to your entire table/group.

Agreed. Used it daily when it was released and haven't touched it in months. It used to be 1 for 1 at good restaurants now it's 10 or 20 percent at random places. Since I mostly eat with my partner its not worth it. I'd rather pay full price at better spots or utilise entertainment book.

Zomato gold is useless. EatClub and the fork gives better discounts without charging a cent. First table charges $10 but you get a flat 50% discount. Wouldn't pay a cent for zomato gold.

Like many others have said, Zomato gold is basically useless now. Might as well just use EatClub or liven both which are free and often have higher discounts.

  • couple day ago, called restaurant to check and they mentioned that Zomato Gold offer is suspended during restrictions? does this apply to all? has anyone used it during the lockdown restrictions?

Agree with their not recommend above. They used to be good with great offers but sneakily Reno ed them over time.

Some restaurant on the list don't honour those offers too, and when I a few people have complaint and written in to zomato, the restaurant remained on the list. Even one restaurant wrote in to be remove, but Zomato did not act on it.

    Do Not recommend Zomato Gold.

  • Similar experience with Jecec. Do not recommend.

Been to a few restaurants where they choose not to honour the offer in the past. Or they misintepret the rules (for buy one get one main offer)

I miss UrbanSpoon. Zomato and it's download app to see anything requirements drive me nuts

    • The web design is terrible, it's like they only want it to be an app…

  • Tomato gold is absolute rubbish. Total waste of money.
