Samsung 860 EVO 2.5" SSD: 1TB $195 ($161 after CB) + Delivery OR Free C&C @ Online Computer

220

This was listed previously here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/543505 but it is now cheaper by $4. So not a dupe by my understanding of the rules.

Samsung SSD Cashback deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/543242
Online Computer isn't actually listed here as an approved retailer but appears to be an alternate name for Online Centre.
After $34 cashback, the price is $161. https://www.onlinecomputer.com.au/117621

Delivery is around $10 or free pick up (Paypal not accepted for pickup). Two hours free parking at Broadway shops if you don't mind the 20 min walk.
Mon – Fri 10am-6pm, not open on weekends.

The 500gb is $99.95 so $80.95 after $19 cashback. https://www.onlinecomputer.com.au/117620

i've bought one recently before from another deal but keep getting invalid serial number \ IMEI. Anyone else having the same issue in the Samsung redemption website?

    • +3

The serial number on the box is missing 1 digit, you will need to use the number on the actual product if this is the case.

    • Yep, had the same problem yesterday trying to redeem the CB offer. I spoke to Samsung online chat who confirmed my serial was indeed valid and instructed me to email promotions support.. which I did. Haven't heard back from them yet.

    • Yep, having the same issue. Emailed Samsung support but haven't heard back.

I had similar problem to you, turns out I have the wrong EVO model selected in the drop down tab. There are two EVO options, you have to see both and find the correct model for you SSD.

    • Use the samsung magician software to retrieve the S/N. The box is missing one character at the end.

I grabbed my serial from the hard drive itself (so all 15 characters are present) and it still doesn't work

        • Same. Emailed promotions. After a week got a reply asking for photos… sent and waiting for reply….

  • Need to factor in delivery cost so the actual price maybe less of a bargain

    “Was $479” Lol

    • I may have seen it that high after ebay price jacking

  • Is there a cashback limit? E.g. if I buy 4 can I get cashback for all 4? (This may seem like a dumass question haha

    • I wouldn't think so but might be best to email Samsung to ask.

T&Cs don't mention any restrictions on buying multiples that I could see https://images.samsung.com/is/content/samsung/p5/au/offer/20…

Maximum Eligible Claims per Participating Product purchased: One (1)
Maximum number of Gifts per household: Three (3)

Does this mean only one claim per product type? The second part definitely limits it to 3

        • I stand corrected. Not sure why it says "Gifts".

I read it as one claim per product type and three for the household.

Last time I believe people got denied for all sorts of reasons, so I wouldn't risk it.

  • this for $169 after delivery or qvo for $136 delivered?

    • +1

This one. Qvo isn't as reliable.

    • Where are you seeing the QVO for $136?

edit: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/543282 $155 shipped from Centercom

      • yea, 136 is a great price, might just get that and save a few bucks, real world performance is practically the same
