    • The XPS 15 has always gone head to head with the MacBook Pro 15/16.

    • This eBay one is non-touch screen

Damn, reckon that's a good price? I'l be honest with you I'm not fussed with the touch screen. Prefer using the ipad for that. I would love to get the New 17 for around that price but they won't negotiate a better deal than 3800.

          Dell XPS 17 9700 (NEW) i7-10750H 16GB RAM 512GB NVMe SSD $2928.05 (Was $3898.99) Delivered @ Dell

          • @O O: I saw this a day late, they won't give me this deal now, the best they will do is 3088

        • I don't mind a non-touch screen, either. But I want 4K.

          • @yjm: You won't be able to tell on 17"

            • @deets456: I don't understand your logic… Larger screens are more likely to have noticeable changes in DPI. Going from 1080p to 4k on 17" would be very obvious, compared to the same on a 13"..??

              • +1

@ryang: its definitely not 'very obvious' ive had 13' and 15' dell xps and you could not tell. I know 17 is bigger but still not enough to make a 'very obvious'difference. I work as a videographer and you still need to go a bit bigger than 17" to really appreciate 4k. Also dave lee on his latest review of the 17" says he couldn't tell a difference and wouldn't bother paying the premium for it :)

      • Hmm cant find it exactly- so I give up :)

    • This model is also not 4k.

  • MS Surface Book 3, better bang for the buck. https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/p/surface-book-3/8xbw9g3z71f…

    • Not really, same specs one is 3.7k atm and its won't look anywhere near as good as dell

  • "Some people won't like it" but many others can't afford it

  • Still really nice looking machines, pity about the constant qc issues with the xps line.

  • Im looking to get an XPS 15 or Inspiron 1st of July in next financial year.

Now the EOFY specials run until the 2nd of July.

Should I wait until the 3rd of July for the next pricing of Computers? Or Order on the 1st/2nd of July?

Anyone know which typically is better to do with 'sales'?

  • I'm finding the same problem. The one that @corremn posted showing 3199 for the same without touch seems like a really good deal. I am thinking of getting it. Love the look of these and have been wanting to get a new laptop for ages. Would also love a RTX 2060 atleast, but i have an xbox anyway.
Looking for a good sweet spot.

    • The one that @corremn posted, just looking at it, i dont think it is 4k.
