OzB Exclusive: $2 Bonus Cashback with $10 Spend at Any Online Store @ Cashrewards (Activation Required, Excludes Woolies GCs)

3850

Hi everyone. Another small bonus for our members - new and old. Please read the terms and activate the offer prior to shopping. Once activated, shop as normal via the 'Shop Now' (Store) or 'Activate Now' (Notifier) buttons on Cashrewards. Valid for purchases made from 1:00pm 21/06/20 to 11:59pm 21/06/20 (AEST). Remember to check our EOFY deals for updates and flash promos. Thanks for your support as always. Stay safe, and enjoy :)

  • To be eligible for the AUD $2 bonus, you must first activate the promotion via the link in this post, then shop as normal via any online store on Cashrewards, excluding Woolworths Gift Cards.
  • Transaction must be made between 1:00PM AEST 21/06/20 and 11:59PM AEST 21/06/20.
  • $2 bonus is eligible when making a purchase of AUD $10 or more (inclusive of GST, after any discounts, and before shipping).
  • $2 bonus will not be added to your Cashrewards account at time of purchase. It will be credited separately as approved by 22/08/2020.
  • $2 bonus is over and above the advertised store cashback rates which still apply to the transaction.
  • Transaction is valid if made online via desktop browser, Cashrewards mobile app, Cashrewards Notifier, or mobile browser.
  • Bonus is not valid for any in-store purchase.
  • Sales may report to Cashrewards ex GST so the amount shown in your account may be less than $10. You will still be eligible for the bonus.
  • Selected merchants report orders with multiple items as individual transactions into your Cashrewards account (eBay, Amazon Australia & AliExpress). These are still eligible.
  • $2 bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account (separate purchases from different stores don’t qualify for additional bonuses).
  • $2 bonus is ineligible if an order is cancelled, changed, returned, rejected, or if you purchase an ineligible product (standard store cashback terms and exclusions apply).
  • Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

A common question is "will I be eligible for the bonus if I purchase anything from an Amazon category at 0% cashback, or on eBay using a code"? Answer is unfortunately no. Thank you.

Don't forget to refer-a-friend for $10 each. Tip: add your code to OzB’s randomiser. And check out our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

Thanks TA, time for a bottle of red.

    Damn just bought toilet paper

    • This one?, not eligible for cashback in any case if so.

  • +1

Thanks OP, my other half needed to order something from eBay, so this came just at the right moment :)

    Shopback, do your thing.

sweet time to head off to xbox and find a game for $10

  • Answered my common question as I attempt to justify buying a hard drive which probably won’t get any cashback.

  • How to check what catagory is a product on Amazon AU?

    • Generally the category it's under on Amazon is a pretty good indication. Although there's a few that might be a bit ambiguous.

      What is the product?

      • Looking to buy some A2 milk powder it is fall under Baby ?

        • Assume that it’ll come under grocery.
If you use the amazon search, select the product, then look at the catagories that display along the top in the white bar, this seems to be where the item is tracking -in my experience.

        • That's one of the ambiguous ones.

Amazon lists it as Health and Household.
I'm going to say it falls under "Grocery" or "Health & Personal Care". If you look at the baby category on Amazon, baby forumla does not show up there, it's mainly toys and other physical products - no food/drink.

    • Can't see it in App or mobile mode of website but can see it when you switch to desktop mode near the top.

      • They’re certainly there. Please tap ‘Cashback Conditions’ on mobile, and ‘Cashback rates’ on app to expand the fields. See here.

        • I believe the question was how to find out what category an item is classified as on Amazon to cross-reference it with what the cashback rate is and whether eligible for cashback

  • Brings this down to $17.99

  • eBay OK?

    • Yes:
'Selected merchants report orders with multiple items as individual transactions into your Cashrewards account (eBay, Amazon Australia & AliExpress). These are still eligible.'

But you can't use a code:
'A common question is "will I be eligible for the bonus if I purchase anything from an Amazon category at 0% cashback, or on eBay using a code"? Answer is unfortunately no. Thank you.'

      • Is paying using the full transactions with gift card eligible though? And say, I buy something for $20, paying with $10 gift card + $10 CC, will the cashback only on the $10 or the full $20?

  • Are the IN STORE cash back also eligible.
For instance, Repco is 2.0% online, but 3.0% in store

    • As per their conditions, NO:
Transaction is valid if made online via desktop browser, Cashrewards mobile app, Cashrewards Notifier, or mobile browser.
Transaction is not valid for in-store purchases.

  • Has anyone linked the MC or Visa to CR and if so what has been your experience?

    • +1

Works good something's gives bonus when shopping online

    • +1

I've used it a few times and the in-store cashback works fine, it tracks almost instantly. Just note it's not applicable for this offer though.

  • +1

    Thanks TA!
Does this include items "sold by Amazon US" (but purchased from Amazon Australia)?

    • +2

From previous experience yes. Just make sure you purchase items fulfilled by Amazon US through .com.AU

    • Just about to ask this as well.
Just bought from Amazon.com.AU, obviously paid in AUD, but used Amazon prime for free shipping from US over $49 spend

Another point to note, I remember reading that it won't track if items are already in cart, they need to be added to cart.

I thought I'd try, rather than searching for all the same items all over again, O would go into the shopping cart, add an extra item of each item, then at the end, adjust the cart items to just one of each.
      Hope this works.

Can anyone confirm if that's a good way to do it or not??

      • +2

This is how I do it

        1. Save all items for later that you have added to the shopping cart.
        2. Click from Cashrewards
        3. Go to the shopping cart
        4. Scroll down to your save for later items
        5. Click on the link of the item, add to cart from the item page.
        6. Rinse and repeat from step 3.
  • Does paying with Groupon credit count towards the $10 spend?

    • +1

Only if the purchase amount after applying any Groupon credit is $10 or more:

      https://www.cashrewards.com.au/groupon

Cashback is calculated on amount paid after use of any Groupon credit.

  • +1

    Anything worthwhile

  • Just to confirm, books from Amazon are not eligible right?

  • I understand the $2 bonus won’t be added right away, so does that mean it won’t show up as pending status? I bought from the previous bonus promotion but it didn’t track so I had to report a missing cashback. I wonder if I’m still eligible for that bonus or not because I don’t see any other pending status.

    • No it doesn't show as Pending either. It will just show up in your account on or before 22/8/2020

      • Ah, okay, thanks!

  • Thanks TA. Bought some skincare on Amazon AU
Something for daughter and a rare skincare purchase for me :)

    • I confirm that my Amazon tracking showed up today.
      Awesome stuff TA.

  • Thanks OP. Perfect timing for buying the 12 rolls of viva papertowels offer on Amazon. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/542062

    • That’s an ineligible Amazon category unfortunately.

      • +1

        Oh bugga

  • Is buying from eBay with a coupon eligible with this ?? anyone please

    • +1

Please read the second last paragraph at the bottom of the OP. Thanks.

    • +1

$2 bonus is ineligible if an order is cancelled, changed, returned, rejected, or if you purchase an ineligible product (standard store cashback terms and exclusions apply).

I take it as a NO

  • Why is ebay AU only available via desktop browser?

    • +1

if using mobile browser, open Cashrewards in desktop mode and open ebay from there. Usually tracks for me.

      • Did this also tonight, hoping the 3% tracks too

  • Any chance of matching that other company’s cashback for Groupon tonight? :p

  • +1

Thanks TA. Updated my old HDMI cables with the new high speed HDMI cables from Selby/motho (via eBay)

  • +1

Of course I have something to buy today that I didn't need to buy yesterday.

  • Hmm I bought a $10 pen off Amazon last night but still haven't seen the tracking email come through… hope it came through as I didn't really have a need for it lol. Thanks CR :)

    • +2

Amazon tracking is not instant. Can take up to 3 days to show up in your acct.

      • What about eBay? Bought a keyboard TPU cover from NZ on eBay Australia but so far no tracking e-mail. Thanks! :)

        • +1

eBay typically is 2-4 days. Also note that you may not get an email if you used a code. It may however track to your acct as $0. Thanks.

          • +1

@tightarse: No code used. Thanks for the prompt reply! New CR user since April and this is the first time I haven’t received a tracking e-mail as yet :)

            • +1

@kerfuffle: Got my tracking e-mail :) Thanks for the help tightarse!

  • So it doesn't show up in account until 22/08/2020? Would probably have forgotten about it by then. Would be good if it show up like the rewards, that way I wouldn't have to cry myself to sleep with worry over it.

  • I have been receiving the Daily OzBargain Newsletter every morning after 5:30 am (which I guess is the default time), but this timing doesn't help me to benefit from deals like this with a window that opens and closes between the daily emails, and this is about the 5th time I've missed out on something… I've just noticed that I can choose for the newsletter to come in the morning, mid-day, or evening. This deal, for example, got posted at 1pm. Even if it was live at the time the mid-day newsletter goes out, I imagine it might not pass the 'most discussed' filter when it is so new. So now I just set newsletter to be daily, in the evening, and for all new forum topics. What is best practice for seasoned OzBargainers?

    • You should check out Ozbargain every hour.

    • I think your method is best for Missing deals and not benefitting . Not sure there is a better way

  • TA
Can you confirm buying through Amazon.com.AU, but shipping from US, (over $49 spend free ship) still generates cashback?
Only my Amazon order from yesterday showed up today, but was instantly declined.
Purchase $83.13 (guessing without GST/shipping, as spent $91.50)
    $0.00 cash back DECLINED

The order was split into two orders from Amazon, the $32.35 part is on a seperate order/confirmation.

    • Hi. It certainly will generate cashback, provided the purchase falls into an eligible category (link below). I have your CR email address from a previous consultation and I can see that whatever you purchased tracked into your CR acct as 'Automotive' which is an ineligible category (0%), causing an auto decline. If you believe there's an error, please PM me the details and I'll take this up directly with Amazon for you.

      https://www.cashrewards.com.au/amazon-australia

      • +1

        Thanks TA
Just noticed, your absolutely right, it's listed under Automotive, further scrutiny confirms this…
        My mistake, sorry.

        • +1

          All good. Thanks for confirming.

  • Again missed to track my cashback :(

    • Which store? Please PM me your CR email address so I can look into your acct.

      • ebay, I just PM you :)

  • Is it meant to show something in the account?

    • +2

"$2 bonus will not be added to your Cashrewards account at time of purchase. It will be credited separately as approved by 22/08/2020."

But should have your purchase under your account.

Is it meant to show something in the account?
