For an extra $2.45 you can get the burger combo switch the potato and gravy you get a large chips and a drink

    • +15

I personally use the make your own bucket and put 3 zinger fillets for $9

cause don't care about the bun but get 3 fillets so yum

      • +11

I have so much to learn from you.

i must try this poetic jingle in real life. Cheers

where do I find the "make you own bucket" in the app

    • I just noticed that the large chips is a free upgrade. Never worked like that before. Was it new?

      • +1

From memory this glitch corrects at checkout

      • It's not free. You trade the potato and gravy to regular chips, plus the existing regular chips = 1x large chips.

    • +1

+1 for app only burger combo deluxe

My app only shows reg chips tho and not large?

EDIT: edit chips and click large size, no extra charge for some reason

      • It added the price on checkout

        • Ah you're right! Thanks for that.

    • It's an extra $1.60 on top for the large chips for QLD at least. $9.05 in total IIRC.

      • +4

You can trade out the potato and gravy for a second regular chips, and 2x regular is approximately 1x large

        • +7

But it's nice dipping the chips in potato and gravy!

        • Can you insist on 2 regular chips instead of 1 large?

    • +4

Or you just use the survey for free chips and drink.

-Go to survey website type in the store number.
-Fill in any random details eg : order number 340 and time 1:30pm usually take 2 attempts and you are all set for free chips and can.

  • can you drive through if you use the app? the only reason i ever really go to KFC is if i don't want to go inside :D

    • +1

      yes

Not sure if the employee would be happy to sell to a capsicum or not

      • App requires pre-payment so it would be a hands-free transaction, no risk of burning eyes.

        • Doesn't require prepayment, but strongly pushes you towards it.

          • +3

@dheywood: It does. The "pay in store" option was removed in March.

I went to KFC to buy this deal…realised it was cheap Tuesday, got 9 pieces of chicken instead… :D

    • which 9 pieces of chicken did you get? didn't realize there is a deal for 9 pieces chicken this tuesday.

  • +1

I think one of the greatest hacks I've discovered lately is getting 2 x Large Chips for $5.95!

Works great as a side dish for the family.

    • How do you do that? Is that using KFC feedback?

      • +1

        nope!

in the app go to new products > add 2 sides for $5.95 > edit > make both sides large chips!

        enjoy!

        • Awesome, thanks!

The Zinger Burger is disappointingly small and flat. Never bought again after the first time. Instead usually do what @barozgain does : 3 zinger fillets for $9. Build Your Own Bucket is the best KFC hack ever !! cheapest way to get wicked wings, tenders, zinger fillets, etc… and not forgetting free large chips and drinks with survey 😋

    • +1

I've been grabbing the 10 wicked wings for $10.95 like an absolute sucker all this time, didn't even realize how much cheaper the Build Your Own Bucket is! Absolutely life changing, glad I saw this comment!

    • What else do you get for the BYOB but? Or just the 3 zinger fillets?

      • You can get whatever that’s listed in the BYOB tab. Just need to have minimum 3 (chicken) items

  • And don't forget the secret menu by pulling down on your menu screen and holding for a few seconds the secret menu pops up

    • +1

      Just to clarify…

Front menu with all the usual photo menu options (build your own bucket, new products etc).
Use two fingers like your walking on the screen, and you'll see an upside down KFC cartoon logo come up. Keep 'walking' constantly pulling down the screen and the secret menu will pop up.

Not much in there of value and just a gimmick, but still nice to know ;).

      • The snack pack was good, but they took it away :(

        • It was good when they made it properly. I lost count of the number of times I had to take it back to the counter because they only put in one scoop of chips instead of two.

  • How do you use the survey with the app, do they do a seperate order when you go in

    • You can't, only works when paying at the counter, and the app has removed pay at counter for COVID.

      • +2

You can. I order and pay on the app. When I give the counter my order number, I let them know I want to claim the free chips and drinks on the survey and they will just key them in. Works every time.

      • Correct. I do this all the time.

    • It depends on the store… I tried this at City Cross Adelaide and they rudely told me I couldn't use it and they kept the receipt.

Not the first time they have been clueless at that branch though not going there again ✌️

So it all depends on the staff at the time.

  • We usually do the $21.95 for 4 zingers 2 large fries and 1 large pepsi using the app. If you like, you can add sauces for free on the burgers.

    • +2

      Pepper mayo for life!

      • I want them to put pepper mayo in the sauce packets my local won't give me pepper mayo if I ask for it in a separate container

  • how do i find out which outlets in victoria has hot and spicy chicken all year around?

    • +1

Victoria Gardens (Ikea Richmond) is the only store in Victoria that does Hot and Spicy all year round.

      • thanks. its a shame they make it special, the normal fried chicken is bland and disgusting

      • There's some more Collins-owned stores up near the border (Albury).
