it was a fantastic deal, and I got two of them. Unfortunately, the deal that I received is no longer available. It seems the plans have changed considerably.
However I can share how I got this deal…
A friend of mine got a really good deal from Telstra and knowing I wanted a iPhone suggested I call the Telstra Sales number and negotiate. I did this with success. The deal was the $49 plan with a $10 discount for having a single bill for home phone and mobile. I then asked for a welcome credit that was enough to cover the cost of the iPhone, plus a bit more and that was granted. He also changed my internet pack to a 3GB for no extra charge, but said if I ever changed it, I would revert back to the now standard 1GB limit.
About 2 months later, I got the deal duplicated for a family member, no problems at all.

I would avoid Vodafone at all costs. I have a current contract with them, they are hopeless to say the least.
