Saw this at Woolworths town hall, online as well. Find the taste alright, a bit small though.

You need the real thing from the restaurant.

    this is just rubbish.

    • Quite enjoyable, especially at this price.
Just don't think of it as Pho!
Bought a stack of these last Deals & added fresh ingredients.

Funny how there are quite a few negative comments on this deal, contrasted to mostly recommendations when it was previously posted.

    • Yes because a restaurant will sell me pho for $1.25 delivered.

        As @the infidel said

Just don't think of it as Pho!

I could put together 70g of rice noodle, mix some seasoning, call it Pho and sell it to you for $1. No restaurant or supermarket will sell you Pho for $1.

Can you deliver it to the blue mountains too?

Anyways how much does a normal pho weigh usually? Like 850g if you count the soup and ingredients?

If this is 70g and a normal pho weighs about 850g plus all the herbs and condiments then that makes this instant small pho like equivalent to a $15-16 normal bowl of pho which is not the cheapest but also not the most expensive and being able to store it at home and kind of eat it slowly is actually not bad.

Now just gotta find out the flavour but yeah it's ok but definitely better if it was below $1.

If there are Asian/Vietnamese groceries near you, check them out. If I remember correctly they cost $1 each normally.

  • how close to the real deal is this? They're getting better with the taste.

    • Bought the jumbo pack from Costco so I'm well acquainted with this. The noodles are nice but the seasoning is absolute trash. Serving size is too small too. Tastes artificial and nothing like the real deal.

      • Add a tablespoon of hoi sin sauce in there, some fresh herbs, and you'll be surprised

Taste nothing like Pho. Might as well get other 2 min noodles that are cheaper. $1.25 for 70g of rice noodle isn't exactly exciting.

This is trash. We bought a box load from Costco.

    • Noodles are slightly below average rice noodles. Not good, but honestly the best part of the dish.
    • The flavouring is shit. It is a curry flavouring, and a bad one at that. Not what you'd expect in a pho.
    • The beef pieces (well, 'piece' to be exact) is about half the size of a micro SD card (and taste like pure salt). Pointless other than marketing.

Do not recommend. Stick to regular ramen if you want instant noodles. Make a curry if you want curry. Or eat a spoonful of salt if you want 'beef piece'.

    • half the size of a micro SD card

0.5 mSD. The Ozbargain standard unit of measurement

This is not like the real deal Pho sure

Just had some tonight as I'm a very lazy camper. Very bland. An utter disappointment

As a Viet, I rarely buy instant Pho due to lack of taste, I'd prefer instant Thai/HK/Korean noddle as it offers much better flavour. It takes up to 8 hours to cook a nice Pho's broth so don't expect much from 2 mins noddle ^^

  • i thought this is the best pho. honesty the soup base taste better than shops. where can i buy it for $1 in Brisbane?

  • Thanks OP. Costco replaced this with Mr Noodles brand Pho and they are no where as good.

  • Never tasted instant noodle that is soo good like this one ( Apart from Mie Goreng ) The soup base and noodle is just like those selling in restaurants for a lot cheaper . We add in thin slice frozen beef noodle from
Asian shops To cook and it melts in your mouth .
