HOW DID YOU FIND THE CODE O_o

I have been refreshing the UberEats page which publishes the code to beat you but they still haven't published it :(

    YOU 2: 0 me

    • +1

      Probably guessed

    • +1

I managed to guess the code for Italian :D

      • I guessed the code for tomorrow's indian

Hope no one beats me tonight LOL

  • +3

    Bubble tea?

    • Hope so. Or ben n jerrys

    • +2

      Included: King Tea
Excluded: Chatime, Gong Cha, Sharetea, Coco Fresh Tea, The Alley, Hey Juice

      • +1

anyone know if King Tea is any good?

        • I'd like to know too, and whether their milky or fruity teas are better.

        • King Tea is my fave chain, it's delicious!

        • Yes! I love their brulee tea! Used to regularly go there before milksha opened

        • it's back to being my fave again now, there's so much stuff on their menu, from huge varieties of yogurt smoothies, to dragonfruit or watermelon shakes, uji macha, interesting tea flavours, and now even mango or avocado milk flower. Top items are still the brulee milk tea or oolong pearl milk tea icecream!

      • The Alley (Lujiaoxiang, right?) Haymarket seems to accept it on mine, so maybe it varies depending on the location.

A few other bubble tea places around Sydney CBD: The Moo, Bubble Nini, Koomi, some yoghurt places which technically don't have pearls

Does it show which stores qualify yet?

    • I would assume stores tagged as "Desserts" - bubble tea seems to be it's own category so not sure if it's one and the same.

      • yup, hoping for bubble tea too, else nothing in there for me.

  • 1L gelato for $9. Not too bad.

  • Doesn't look like it applies to Bubble Tea shops =(

    • I highly recommend Xing Fu Tang in CBD if you’re located in Melbourne

      • Overrated imho

    • Doesn't apply to chain stores like Gong Cha or Chatime but applies to others around my area.

    • It does. I use location near Melbourne CBD, got 9 bubble tea shops, 7 icecream shops and 16 cake/sweet shops

    • We got 4 large bubble teas delivered for 3.90 each

    In the description it says

    until 11:59pm 26/6/2020

    But the calendar says

    27 Jun 1:30am Tomorrow

So when is this deal on?

    • The deal description in the app doesn't match the actual expiry, never has - they aren't even in the same timezone. It's apparently usually 2AM AEST, but I've have coupons that expire at 3AM, 4AM, actually midnight, and just randomly.

      • That's weird, and confusing. They should have fixed that.

        • You would think that, wouldn't you. But, they didn't lose hundreds of millions of dollars by being competent.

any recommendations for sydney darling harbour area? Holed up in novotel quarantine atm.

    • I can really only think of Messina that's right next to your hotel. Oh there's also a few Japanese places that do Matcha desserts, and some bubble tea or sweet drinking yoghurt places if they're your thing.

      • Can’t find Messina on Uber eats?

    • +1

do they not provide food etc ?

    • Riverino at barangaroo

  • As long as the place comes up in the dessert search it will give me 50% off on other categories too. All savoury for me today, thanks 50% off!

For folks who live around Eastwood NSW, LELESU (Happy Pastry) accepts orders and we've tried a few times. Pretty decent Asian pastry store IMO.

  • some bubble tea shop takes 50% this offer.

    • which most of them charged $8 delivery fee not including the overpriced milk tea it self, big pass.

  • I wish The Cheesecake Shop was on Uber Eats lol

    • It is in Perth :P

      • +1

yeah but none participating in this 50%

      • +1

        Wow is this for real?
Belgian Mudcake on Ubereats for $62.95 While the Cheesecake Shop website shows $36.95

        • Obviously they found out they were in the 50% off promotion.

        • Madness.

I wonder if these promotions are bringing to people's attention the potentially significant mark ups on Uber Eats.

  • pretzels?

The local banh mi place (Luke's Bakery) sells deserts so qualified. Just got 3 crackling pork rolls and 4 rice paper rolls for $13 pick up. In the Darebin area.

  • +1

    https://www.coricapastries.com.au/our-work
They are doing 50% off in Perth City - looking good..

    • Hi…were you successful in applying the 50% off code to Corica purchases?

  • Very poor selection for this one for me and I'm almost in the Melbourne CBD. It's a shame you can't buy desserts from venues in other categories.

  • +2

    Meh, delivery kills it.

    • i got discounted delivery fee yesterday. try checking out and see the final price.

      • +1

Yeah, and also I've been picking up my orders.

Markup does kill this though, but that's the case with other stores and other days of this promo. I checked a cake that was listed for $19.90 and in-store it's $15.90… :( :(

        • Under normal circumstances, that just means they'd get $15.90ish after Uber's take. Uber doesn't let them set different prices for delivery vs pickup either, so they have no choice but to either always mark it up or never mark it up. Using one of these coupons and picking up however does actually support them because Uber isn't charging them any fees on pickup orders, and they get the full order value paid with Uber covering the other half - so you get to screw Uber and get a cheap meal!

Only 1 store around me offers it, baskin robbins doesn't, cheescake factory/shop doesn't, the crepe store doesn't, ben & jerrys doesn't.

Somewhat disappointing, wish there was an easier way to work out what works instead of getting hopes up with the loose 'dessert' category.

    • If you click the banner it'll show all participating stores

  • Thanks. Got 6 donuts and 2 pies from Daniels for $18 deliverd in Carnegie

  • Can’t find any participating restaurant in North Lakes, QLD

  • 5 local stores participating, and all are marked as unavailable. Out of curiosity I drove to the closest one and saw they are open. Went inside and asked them about UberEats orders. They told me they had switched off the machine for today. Too many orders earlier in the day and couldn’t handle to volume apparently so they decided to turn it off.

    • no Ben & Jerry's for me too… :(:(

  • UberEats updated Day9's dessert offer banner to say:

Are you unable to find any participating desserts restaurants for your local food fest? Unfortunately, not every desserts restaurant is participating and there are a limited number on our marketplace. Try visiting tomorrow to check if you can get 50% off order from participating Indian restaurant (excluding delivery fee, max discount $20 off) until 11:59pm 26/6/2020. Delivery fee applies

    • Interesting comment- if I understood correctly UE is funding this promo and they are the ones deciding which restaurants will be included- to me it's pretty poor form to say there's a "limited number" in the marketplace- some cafes/ bakeries offer desserts but were excluded.

  • Stack with Westpac offer spend $30 get $20 back. Works out to $50 worth for only $10

  • nothing in WA
    not a very useful code.

was hoping to get some bubbletea, tiramisu or ice cream…
