  • Anyone got feedback on these? Need to chuck some downlights in kitchen/dining room.

  • I have used the older single colour ones and they are still working great.
I've ordered 6 of these to try out and replace fleuros in the garage.
Standard ceiling heights are better suited to the flush style and higher ceilings the recessed ones.

    • Hey @Tsapena, regarding your comment on which light style to go with for higher ceilings or standard ceilings…. can you explain your reasoning? I've been looking at getting these downlights for a while now to install all around the house, and to pair them with BrilliantSmart wifi touch-dimmer mechs. I previously couldn't decide on which style to go with, (or whether I could find cheaper wall-switchable color-temp LEDs).

      • The downlights that have a flush face disperse the light at a wider angle and therefore more suitable for a ceiling height of up to 2.4m high.
Ceiling Hights of 2.7m and above are better suited to downlights that are recessed and disperse the light at a narrower angle.
Either one would work well depending on the spacing of lights and taste of the individual.
        Hope this helps

        • Legend, thanks. Our ceilings are 2.55m, so I guess we can go with personal preference.
Now to message the Lectory team and see if they'll match the lower BrilliantSmart dimmer price as sold at other stores.

          • @mduncan2: 2.55m Hight I would personally lean towards the flush style.
Best to ask the supplier also for another opinion too, or any lighting supplier…

            • @Tsapena: Thanks, ordered 3 and a dimmer to have a play with them and make sure they work the way I expect.
