You are correct. However, Premiere is not for every one. Editors like Movavi are for quick creation and people new to video editing. It caters to a different need group.
We cannot compare Movavi with any Professional level video editors like Premiere Pro, Camtasia, Vegas, etc.
Interested in this one. What does it mean by "lifetime" license? Free update for life?
In Movavi Lifetime Licenses, the updates are for one year for that version. Then you can keep using it for lifetime but not upgrade it to newer versions.
For example if you buy 2020 now, you will get all updates to 2020 version and can use it for lifetime. However, you will not be able to upgrade to the next major versions.
DaVinci Resolve, guys, there is a free version and it covers pretty much everything required for video editing. Started using it recently and very pleased. Not affiliated.
I've heard great things about it! Just never got around to using it due to the learning curve.
I do simple stuff for now: intro, cut, music background and export - and learning was just watching one youtube video - that's it !
I just tried to install movavi video editor plus again just to play around with it. Upon uninstalling it, it prompt me for a 40% discount and this comes to A$35.97 already inclusive of GST. Just wondering if this is the best way to actually buy video editor plus if this is the only thing that I want from the video suite 2020?
Yes, If you want to buy Video editor Plus Only, then you can go ahead. Movavi Suite just includes a lot of other assistive features as well.

I think I would rather Adobe Premiere Pro if I wanted video editing software. Although more expensive but the effects and editing tools it provides is superior.
