[eBay Plus] LG SN11RG Dolby Atmos 7.1.4ch Soundbar System $1290 @ eBay Appliance Central

190
PMON20

Seems like not a bad deal for a top of the range soundbar system which retails full rrp $1699 in Australia but US$1600 in USA.

From the listing:
770W & 7.1.4 Channels
Meridian Technology for exceptional sound
Dolby Atmos for realistic audio
Google Assistant Built-In to answer queries
Rear & Up-firing speakers included

This soundbar is probably a competitor with the Samsung HW-Q90R but I've seen a lot of reviews with issues with that system due to connection problems with the rear speakers. So I think this LG might be a viable alternative.

      Gg commercial $1236

I bought mine from TGG Commercial for $1236 a couple of weeks ago, and they then removed it from the store later that day, so this does seem to be the best, readily available, price out there currently.

EDIT: typing my reply same time as Pythagoras. Just checked and it has now gone back up on the GG Commercial store.

      • @maximage How are you liking it?

I previously had a 5.1 system with proper speakers in a dedicated home theatre and have replaced with this. While I'm sure there are better systems out there if buying separates and spending a tonne more, I cannot believe the sound that this thing pumps out, and how well spread it is. I haven't used it for any music though as I have a Marantz/B&W setup in the Living for that, but for movies it's brilliant.

          • @Maximum64: how are the rear speakers on these? Was tossing up between this and q90r but as op said above..

            • @Pythagoras: Have had no problems so far. I was also originally on the hunt for the Q90R but had the same concerns.

              • @Maximum64: @maximage: Thanks for the feedback. Are you using Google Assistant with it much. I'm interested to know whether it's easy to control and switch between sources. You said that you're only using it for movies but I'm keen on something that is simple to turn on and switch between Spotify via Wi-Fi and Arc for TV.

I'm using the Samsung MS-750 right now and it's a bit of a pain.

@C0mbat: Being in the theatre we don't really use Assistant, apart from my 5 year old that keeps running in there to ask it what noise certain animals make. The microphone aspect of it does seem to pick up voices pretty well though.

      • @maximage do you have the link handy to the commercial site? I don't have an account. cheers in advance

      • hey mate, do you have a link to the commercial site for this handy? looking to get that price but can't find a posting anywhere. would be greatly appreciated if you could post it.

  • Thanks OP but should mention this is eBay Plus members only.

I got Harvey Norman to price match GG commercial. I find the sound good for movies. Not sure if AI setup does anything since i cant find any difference in sound when it was ran. My wife is not thrill bar for playing music, said a bit tinny. I do need to buy stands for it and position the rear speakers better.

  • anyone received their soundbar ?

  • hey does anyone have the GGC link handy for this?
