    Well, anything else? I got an HK no-brand GPS from ebay for $65, I have to say it's fxxx good. IGO8 is preloaded in it, running apprently faster than $200+ tomtom or Garmin, etc..

  I had a quick search on OzB, and apparently it's been at that price before (May 2011) but I don't think it had lifetime map offer.

  Also, OzB member 'UFO' said Choice magazine rated it 1st in almost every category (but keep in mind, the comparison is not recent)

    Yep… choice rated this badboy very highly earlier this year. So much so that I bought it :).

    No complaints… but I bought it with no life time map updates for $195(on sale).
    At $200 with free maps, this is no brainer.

    Map life time updates = as long as the 1450T works you can get updates (or until garmin change map providers- which is very unlikely).

  I am not so sure about this "LifeTime", sometimes they don't do these units after a year or so and therefore no updates and suddently you life is reduced to 1 or 2 years!

  lifetime normally refers to product lifetime. if product discontinued. then no more updates.

    this is incorrect with Garmin. Discontinued or not, you'll keep getting updates.

  I cant see where it says lifetime map update on the Dick Smith Site, all I see is The traffic service includes a lifetime premium subscription through the Suna traffic channel in Australia for the life of the product.

  On the Garman site it says Garmin nüMaps Lifetime™ - Australia from $189.99, so if that pacage is included then it would be a bargain

    the map updates are included in the dse deal cause i bought it about 2 months ago.

    You fill out the online form and you get a redemption code for online.

  Just got one from Dick Smiths store at Chatswood Westfield, same deal. Confirm that map liftime update. It is listed on the cateloge sitting at the shop's entrance.
