Looks exactly the same as the $29 Kmart job I got a few weeks ago
    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/convection-heater-with-time…

Actually the Kmart one has a built in timer as well. And a fan.
    Sorry, Kmart one is better.

    • Mutton dressed as lamb. This looks just like my Mistral heater only in black. Pretty sure I got mine from Bunnings a few years ago for no more than $30 too. Very nice for a bedroom.

  • After reading or hearing about Kmart heater and brand referring to being worse heater choice tested in 6 years. I be hesitant to say the one that been posted is worse

    https://www.choice.com.au/home-and-living/heating/electric-h…

The model they referring to is the one above but still same make. So not entirely sure if the one provided is actually better.

    • I’m happy with the $29 one above for my small bedroom.
The one you’ve linked is a different model. YMMV.

      • I've got a non timer version of the Kmart one, it honestly works too well at times, I regularly have to turn it off.

    • Yeah look the reason why that convection heater doesn't work well is cos it doesn't have a fan. A fan is the most important part with convection heaters to circulate the air. Oil heaters usually don't need a fan as much so it's a bit interesting that in that review the kmart oil heater was also rated poorly.

Anyway I've been rocking the $29 kmart heater for a couple of winters now. It's awesome. The only problem is that it sells out pretty quickly and I don't think they restock them. So you'd be lucky to find one instore now.

Yeah I mention it was but just same maker. As long as your happy and content for room size but doesn't mean the one provided is worse. Is more expensive and not a timer, plus sure price isn't normally 129. Still good saving

Kmart one also has a fan, which makes a huge difference. So I’ll stand by my comment that the Kmart one is better value, considering it’s cheaper, plus has a timer and fan…

These thing eat a lot of electricity!

    • So do your heaters run off gas after eating a lot of cabbage??

      • Sounds like a possible invention, convert cabbages to electricity

  • I have a cheapie one of these too. Pretty crap. IMO any heater without some kind of fan to move the air around is crap and wasteful.
I got some old computer case fans pushing air through an oil fin heater.

  • Target has a better version of this for $39

Bunnings has Click $15 fan heater. That is my most durable fan heater I've ever used.
