What is your favourite shaving gel?

What's OZbers favourite shaving gel. Not necessarily on price here. Just recently trying the L'Oréal one. Not bad. No real smell, doesn't foam up alot, but enough, no irritation on skin. Had tried the Schick before that. Lathers thick, but has a slight stinging or reaction to my skin. Strong smell.

L'Oreal Men Expert Hydra Sensitive Shaving Gel 200ml

Schick Shave Gel Hydro Sensitive 236g

Gillette Fusion Proglide Sensitive Shaving Gel Active Sport 170g

Nivea Men Deep Shave Gel 200ml

King of Shaves' 150ml

Can set up a poll, but there maybe others to consider.

King of Shaves seems popular around here.

Just use the "moisurising" shaving gel from ALDI, does the job and costs basically nothing.
No bad skin reaction or problems for me.

    • Will check that one out next time.

      • I don't need you mansplaining my manscaping :P

Taylor of old bond st, Coconut shaving cream

  • For sensitive skin like mine, my favourites are Gaia and Sukin

  • I really love the Natio Smoothing Shaving Gel. A small amount adds a nice thick layer of gel that's great for shaving other areas. Other can't go wrong with the King of Shaves sensitive gel.

This Caffeinated Shave Cream is good too but the price is a real turn off.

    • Gee CFC is pricey.

My go to is Nivea Men Protect & Care Moisturising Shaving Gel. Nivea Men Sensitive Shave Gel is also good if you don’t like a scent.

  • Moist.

    Nothing. Real men don’t shave.

  • The shower.

    • I shave in shower with the wet shaver, but still use a gel. Had use a cheap supermaret cream before now onto gels.

    • What do you find good about this one? Would have the distinctive tea tree smell I suppose.

      • I have sensitive skin and usually shave every second weekday.

The Tri-Shave is the only one I have used that seems to soothe my face, and I get less ingrown hairs using this and the Schick Sensitive range of razors/blades.

I don't mind the smell, its not that overpowering.

        • I will have to look out for it when its on sale.

          • @Melb69: Both WW & Coles have it at $6.50 per tube as part of their everyday Low Prices…

Hasn't been on sale for a long time.

  • I don't use shaving cream. And I do shave.
I even use hand-me-down disposable razors to give it a few more lives.

    • No skin left. 😉

      • Yeah but I save so much by reusing razors and no cream

  • ….when u wash your face with face wash (or some kinda soap). Lather it on, as you do when you wash your face normally, shave, then rise your whole face off. I thought everyone did that 0.o shaving cream is a total scam.

I have a beard but shave my neck and above my cheeks where the hair grows in a patch. I use a double edged safety razor and Proraso shave soap that you have to lather with a brush in a bowl. You only need a tiny amount every time you shave, and with a bit of practice you can get a good lather in a few minutes. I'm not 100% sold on the superiority of safety razors (although they are more sustainable) vs cartridges, but the shave soap I am sold on.

I like Taylor Of Old Bond street shaving creams. Currently using the rose scent:

Using a double edged razor, I find it much much better than the razors you can buy at Coles or Woolies. Bought it about 5 years ago, should last for the rest of my life:

Lots of choices of blades but I use these, so much cheaper than Mach 3 garbage:
