    Therapy.

Donate $100 each to three causes of your choice that make the most use of the money and have low administration/marketing costs.

Have warm fuzzy feeling for long time.

Alternatively: spend on some experience you would usually not spend money on
E.g. bungee jumping, sky diving, safe driving course, etc.

You must not be a very fun person… Lol spend it on yourself not give it away hahaha :)

      • +3

You must not be a very spiritual person

        • Being spiritual has no relation to giving away money.

The op said he wants to buy something for him/her and they suggested giving it away :p lol

      • -1

Well at least I didn’t tell him to go buy sex toys like you did further below.
Your idea is so much better, I can see that now.

P.s. also suggest you read whole post next time. There are two parts to it. Second being not much fun for you either, sitting on your comfy couch or desk chair.

        Are you a couch troll?

        • +2

Lol sex toys can be called gadgets, they are fun for the user, they are also fun to shop for. That's my criteria I matched them all.

Also I could use it from my couch/arm chair. I could be using it now if I wanted, and then I'd be truly doing what you want which is to go **** myself :) hahaha.

Look into how to install Pi-hole (a great tool to achieve network wide ad blocking) on your LAN. You might start with something cheapish like a Raspberry Pi or you can look into something a bit most costly like a mini PC. From there, you can look into other projects like setting up your own cloud service based at home using Next Cloud or using your machine as a web/game server.

  • What is so special about this $300 that you need to spend it, why don't you put it in your savings (or invest it) with your other savings?
Is this the only $300 you own? If so more reason to save it.

  • buy some shitcoins and try to gamble into a lambo

    • That boats sailed away.

  • Good headphones like Philips Fidelio or my personal recommendation, a nice stereo, Aktimate Mini+ are currently half price and are a steal. Life's better with bangin choons, if you can't front $400 then the Aktimate Micro are around $300.

    • Link please?

if you're looking for gadgets, ive got one word for you, mono, rail!

    • +1

      Isn't that 2 words?

    • +2

So then, mono means one, and rail means rail. And that concludes our intensive three week course.

      • mono rail, mono rail, mono rail, what's that sound? mono rail!

  • Can get a nice RC Car with that. Find a local bash track and take it for a spin.

  • Adopt a koala because useful

Honestly, spend the $35 more and get an ender 3. Print bed on this is quite small.

  • For a new life experience try a Trial introductory flight. Even if you're not interested in planes it's still really interesting and you'll learn a bit

      • Missed that one haha

Need to know your interests first. I love to work on car's and bake (separately, of course) , so $300 would go on some baking trays and a decent size loaf pan and any extra some tools or consumables. Once people know what gets you out of bed in the morning then they can give specific answers. Unless you're wanting to just spend it on something random in which case maybe get into Arduino or something technical like that - it can be really fun!

A roll of toilet paper in Victoria

  • 3D printer. I bought one at the start of lockdown and it has been tons of fun.

  • So you're in VIC. When I lived in Melbourne I thought about trying hang gliding - http://www.freedomairsports.com.au/learn-to-fly/learn-to-fly… Cost $185-$245 for a tandem flight. At Locksley Field Airport 2 hours north of Melbourne.

  • How about splurging on some Pincinox steel pegs. Pegs for life.

  • +2

You could always splurge and park near 2.63 mailboxes

    • Or park near one, challenge it in court, lose and pay court costs?

  • +1

Since you're in VIC. Probably use the $300 to stock up for your next 3 month quarantine :)

  • Mate, if you still wanna spend that $300 then you would be better off donating the fund to charity of your choice or pick multiple charities and divide it equally if you haven't figured it out. (Could this be a fun thing for you to do?)

Get a used mountainbike and explore surrounding trails. Bonus: It it's a workout as well!

    • Not OP but am interested in this. Any idea on which second hand mountain bikes would be good? Budget is about 500. Missed out on the Aldi 29er which looks like it would've been great…

      • For that money you can get a band Hardtail: Specialized, Focus, Cannondale, Giant etc.

Important are the parts. A bike can have cheap to really good parts, all within the same brand.
There you have to compare the individual gearsets, front suspension etc.

I'd say check some comparisons of what bikes are recommended for $1000 new and then target those at your price.

The good thing is that a test ride and check on a second hand bike should show the condition very well. Unlike a car you don't have many hidden or hard to understand parts.

        Good luck!

  • Lego set!

    Noise cancelling headphones?

  • Buy a PAX 3. Money well spent.

  • I'd recommend an RC car like this. Fast and plenty of fun anywhere.

Trade it into 5c coins, fill bathtub with 6000 coins. Sit in bath, and feel like Scrooge McDuck = You should feel like a millionaire.

Please let me know if this works.

    • 6000 5c coins will only take up about 3 litres in volume, including air space between them.

To fill 200 litre bath would therefore need about 400,000 5c coins = $20,000.

      • +1

Baby bath? = feel like a giant and a millionaire!

  • +2

Cooking classes or some type of self-development or fitness class. I like spending money on swimming classes.

  • A dildo perhaps and some lube

  • +1

If you had to wait until you "came into" $300 before you could buy something fun, then I would suggest you really need to save it.

    • +2

Going through the first page OP’s replies make me that perhaps he has to wait to come into $300 because he has spent all of his money on whatever he wants already (already has PS1-PS4, Switch, Gaming PC, Roomba….)

Sounds like if OP wants to do something different with the money then he should try NOT spending it on toys. I’d probably need help deciding if I had already bought everything on the market, too.

  • Do you have a Bicycle? You could get one from Kmart/ Big W and a helmet for under $300.

  • +1

Whenever I have a little cash to spoil myself with, I try to get something that will hopefully pay for itself over time. For example I got a 3D printer and have saved it's cost by printing tools and replacement parts…and presents. $300 will see you into a printer. Maybe you could invest in your education? Get your first aid certificate or some other qualification that will improve your life and increase your earning potential. You could invest in a vegetable garden or aquaponic setup and maybe it'll pay for itself with fresh veggies. there are lots of ways to spend which are a form of investing in yourself. A night of drinking is not one of them. A drone is not one of them. If you want to enrich yourself spiritually, spend it one someone else.
