  • Been waiting for this. Thanknyou

  • Sydney Tools have a Dewalt Promo this weekend - $100 credit with this saw ($849). I was unsuccessful in them price matching the saw but the upside Is getting the stand on the spot, rather than a mail in redemption.

  • okay for hardwoods?

edit: doing some reviews, should be okay. Now to decide whether I need it…

"has the ability to handle 1200 x 2400mm cut sheet materials when operating without the fence."

Would not recommend this without some sort of fence or sled, but even then this type of portable table saw is not the best option for full size sheet materials. Use a handheld circular saw to handle initial sheet cuts, then use the saw to square them up (if under 622mm) dimension.

  • I have the next model up from this one (2kw) and I am very happy with it. Got the stand with wheels - the whole thing folds up for storage against the wall.

Is this a normal 10amp GPO plug?

  • This has an 8 1/2 inch blade which I've heard is difficult to get. It's due to some sort of new regulation where there is a ratio of blade size to table size.

    • 216cm blades are not hard to get

How so? You totally need a big trailer to get two metre blade home.

        (Sorry, couldn't help myself)

        • foiled by the elusive decimal point, once again!!

    • You can generally put smaller/larger blades on table saws anyway, as long as they have clearance and the same arbor size.
